Does the job!
I've had astonishing bad luck recently with FOUR punctures in the space of 3 weeks, in my car that has no spare wheel or repair kit. As I live in a rural area and it can be difficult to get to a garage (even if you can find one open), I'd had enough of paying call-out fees and invested in this, so if it happened again I could at least limp to a garage or home. I needed a foot pump, and not one that relied on power from the cigarette lighter socket as mine doesn't work (great wiring job, Peugeot!). Sure enough, the very day after I put it in my car boot, I went over a level crossing late at night, and noticed that dreaded noise, pulled over and one of my brand new tyres was punctured already. No problem -- got the pump out and in a few minutes I'd got it up to recommended pressure with a bit to spare for deflation. Got home with it still not far below recommended; flat again in the morning but with this I was able to pump it back up again and get to a garage for a proper repair. Only took about 3 or 4 minutes to go from totally flat to 38psi. The gauge seems relatively accurate as the tyre was looking similar to the non-punctured ones which I had recently checked. All in all a good buy, I'll never leave home without it again!

Capitan americas for pump
Really well built, kind of over kill. It's a foot pump but feels like it can survive the apocalypse.Imagine someone gave you a rain coat made of titanium, its still water proof but a little extream.Great build quality, not too fused on the screw valve as not a quick release and can lose air rapidly if you don't have fast fingers.

Does the job
Sturdy, does the job required. Making the pump dependable.

Reliable, quick to use pump
Easy to get tires up to desired pressure. Gauge was accurate when checked with precision gauge (other reviews had suggested pump gauge might not be accurate so I got a highly-rated stand-alone gauge as next trip would involve long days driving on European motorways).Stable in use and screw-on valve connector gives easy *sure* connection every time.

Sturdy pump good for short valves
Like the straight screw on connector. Connects easily to shorter than normal valves or where the profile of the wheel fouls a more common thumb lock connector.

Overall it works, but not as useable or robust as alternatives
I bought this product more as a "could not find something better" alternative. I've been using the RAC version of the product which I personally found a lot better, but as they no longer seem to be available I bought this one.Functionally it works. However, the rubber pads on it fell off almost immediately (stupid design of holders) and the connector is a very fiddly screw in rather than a much simpler RAC type design.

This is the Rolls Royce of footpumps
That is not a sentence I ever thought I would type! The inventers of the pneumatic tyre also makes the best foot pump. Don't buy anything else or any other brand, there are copies thru simply are not as good nor as sturdy. They would be perfect if manufactured in France....
