Fotga Replacement of Sony VCT-U14 quick release tripod plate adaptor for Sony Panasonic shoulder camcorder VCT-14

I am very happy with Replacement sony VCTU14, it works perfect it's easy to attach and detach the camera to plate Only had it a day or two now but it seems very good quality and happy with the price. in fact I first bidded on a second hand VCT14 plate on ebay not in perfect condition, someone else out bid me it went for about £62 plus, So I looked around ebay saw an advert at bottom of ebay page for tripod plates clicked on it it took me to Amazon.co.Uk page with Foga plate on it and was amazed to find a brand new plate from Foga well built good quality selling including postage at a lower price, I was delighted and placed my order and have been delighted ever since Thank you Foga well done. I would recommend Foga and it plates well worth the purchase.

Doesn't fit Blackmagic URSADon't waste your time with this. I was sick of spending money on kit so bought this as a cheap option. Don't risk it, it's cheap tat.

This is a fantastic bit of kit, it's build quality is as good as the OEM article. It fits my Sony DSR-300 camera like a glove with no movement on the camera, the release lever is solid, and works perfectly, the reviews from other users who say that the lever doesn't work, or that the base locking screw is useless, show that either they are using this device on the wrong type of camera, or they simply don't know how to use the adapter correctly. For the money, this tripod adapter is fantastic value and you can't go wrong buying it; also delivery was extremely fast, within 48hrs of the order being placed.

Excelled my expectations. As it saved me an enormous amount of money. Because this item was, if not! as good as the same item supplied by other manufacturers and suppliers. It is a solid piece of equipment, well manufactured, and I had no problem fitting to my pro JVC camera. The mechanism works with pristine efficiency. My camera attaches with no problem at all. I would recommend this product and would recommend more stars if I could. Thank you for a brilliant product.

Very good and not to expensive.

Buy cheap, buy twice... Well how about - buy cheap, have to claim on your insurance for your camera and lens because this plate doesn't lock the camera in place...?I used this plate fine on a static tripod with a second camera and all was fine, cheap and nasty but fine. I used it with another camera, moved the tripod fractionally and the plate let the camera go, smashing my viewfinder and knocking the lens out of alignment.

Perfect exactly as described

Don't buy this utter rubbish. Firstly, there are no instructions and you are left to work things out yourself. Camera has to be rammed home into the V slot so hard that you almost tip the tripod over. When it eventually locks on, the camera is lose and wobbles on the plate. Tried to tighten the rear tie-down slotted screw but it's just a useless dummy. Total waste of money and sending back.

Works brilliantly. Takes a good, hard shove to get it locked in place, but it's reasonably priced enough that I have one that is on my URSA permanently, and I'll buy more of these for other studio cameras.

The VCT-U14 quick release standard has existed since the 80s, there's absolutely reason to pay full price for one of these things. I love Zacuto, I've got a lot of Zacuto products. Those guys charge $300 for their version of this quick release. It's exactly the same. The earliest Betacams were clicked into the earliest VCT-U14 plates. So if you must buy new, at least buy cheap.
