This was the first time I’d grown borage. I planted the seeds straight into one of my allotment raised beds in mid-April and ALL of the seeds germinated. I took the included photo of the mature plants in mid-July. My main reason for growing borage was to attract bees to my plot and on that score these plants have been a great success! Planted the seeds inside in individual seed trays in a sunny position. The seeds germinated well and grew into strong seedlings. Now it's warmer they are being transplanted into compost in the garden.I've read that they are good companion plants with tomato plants so will grow some with my tomatoes.

I put these in a few ago and already they are shooting up. I've grown borage before from seed and they really are wonderful plants.They are growing well with minimum sun as they are in a very shaded part of my garden.Ideal for shaded locations with miminum sun exposure.
