Legos
My son was not impressed, no clear instructions and because 2 bags were open unable to return. Waste of money and time. Very challenging with smaller pieces and no clear instructions.

Things to know before you purchase
First off, I really like this set. It's gorgeous, so far. Here are a few things to know: 1. This is a micro block set. They are tiny! Have tweezers handy. 2. There are 3 phases to building it. The bags of blocks are labeled for each phase. There are several bags to each phase. 3. If you expect the blocks to be presorted to specific steps....forget it. This is not the name brand. 4. You will need to sort the blocks into types for each phase. It makes it easier. Condiment cups with lids are lifesavers. 5. You can use those condiment cups to sort pieces for each step. Just label them. It moves faster that way. 6. Take pictures of each step so you can zoom in for the details to know what piece goes where. 7. This does not have music, but the lights dance. It's a great set. I will buy another, but it can take a little bit to put together. I am finished with phase one and have started phase two. This is not a good set if you have infants or pets who like to put items in their mouths. They would be easy to choke on.

DO NOT BUY
If I could give 0 stars on this product I would. I had bought this and had gotten mirco-mini pieces and the intructions are blank except for the photo of what the final step of the product would look like and the pieces that you would need. When you are done with a step they made what you already did look grey on the next page of booklet which had gotten me so confused on where to put the next step. When I had gotten to the people I had gotten a piece that was supposed to be an arm but it looked like a scrap of the arm, not a full one but just a scrap. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER OR PRODUCT

Impressed
Surprisingly impressed with this set. Has every price and more included. The instructions were pretty clear at least to me, you have to count the nobs to make sure your using the correct piece and only has a couple different colors but instructions make the colors very clear. The design only has one real flaw and thatโs when you put the base of the floating island to the surface of the floating island, it likes to try and break apart so be very slow and calm. The light set up is very simple. I wouldnโt recommend this set for a kid under the age of 12 because the pieces are very tiny and it takes a lot of patience unless that kid loves long time consuming projects. As an adult I had a great time building this though I think I prefer other sets over this one specifically.

Challenging and patience building
Challenging build. The instructions are not great, I scanned them so I could zoom in on different parts which made it much easier. There were still some sections that I had to build, then take apart and rebuild a few times. The bags are numbered 1, 2, and 3, but there are multiple bags of each. So there were about 4 bags labeled 1, 4 labeled 2, and 5 labeled 3 which was a bit confusing, but again, it added to the challenge. There are a ton of extra pieces and I used some of them to make a few sections sturdier. It looks great when built! I would prefer the lights to be just white and not flash or change color, but the lights thru the water are pretty cool. Definitely requires patience.

I like it now but will love it when completed. It's given me ideas for Minecraft builds.
I'm still working on this - a Mother's Day gift. When you look at the book, the first page is the blue platform. From there, you build on the platform but you only see what you will be adding. (It took me a minute to figure that out.) These block are small, so get out your sort trays and eye glasses if you need them. I'm happy so far. Make sure you have your stickers, the box had a broken seal, but I had my stickers. (smile) Something else you might want is tweezers and small plyers for placing parts and removing mis-placed parts. Because I have helped my son with his Legos, placing the plants might be better left for later, when you won't be knocking them off.

fun
This is a fun thing to do to pass time and the final outcome is very pretty. However, mine had some pieces missing ,the instructions are not the easiest to read and the pieces are very small so it is hard on the fingers and you can't do it with younger kids. Some of the tree pieces are also quite flimsy and fall apart every time you touch them so you have to be careful while assembling the rest of the building after the trees.

Great challenge
As someone who has only built Lego and Nanoblock kits, I found this particular item to have been a very welcome challenge. A strong work light with magnifier is highly recommended as some colors can look very similar and the detail in the instruction manual is very intricate. Verify spacing before assembly. Parts do fit tightly at first (unlike Nanoblock), but do loosen up a bit after moving a piece. Decals are so-so and could use a little trim before applying. My kit does not make music (or at least, I haven't figured out how to start it) but it does light up, which gives a pleasant effect. I would not recommend this kit for kids unless they have a lot of patience or genius IQ. Mating the top of the island to the bottom was the hairiest part of the build. Preplanning and double-checking is a must. At it's price, this is an excellent value if successful and a cheap gamble if you're not.
