Nice little story
Note that this is a Brazilian Portuguese translation.Nice little story. I wish the translation was a bit better, as it doesn't seem to make as much sense as the English text. I also wish that there was another version for European Portuguese, it is a bit disconcerting to have to "translate" the Portuguese for my child.

Good for introducing French to children
The illustrations are lovely. I only realised this was a book written for children with cancer when I read the back cover. The story is sweet although bearing in mind the purpose it was written for, it isn't an exciting read. Unfortunately there isn't great choice on here for bilingual English-French books. The friend I bought it for did appreciate it as it allowed her to read some French to her child.

Okay
For teaching French it's okay. Story a bit advanced for our son but the tale home message is "whatever it is, you can tell us" which seems positive.

Not the write story for a bilingual book. Badly translated.
I am dissapointed with this book, the 'English' is actually American/awkward/wrong. I had purchased it for my 3 year old but it is not entirely appropriate. I do not wish to pass it to my 7 year old because of the awkwardness of the English translation. It's a good book if you have a child who doesn't open up about their problems but I do not see the point of this being a book in two languages if you are trying to address other issues with your child.Examples of not entirely correct translations: chambre - room (instead of bedroom), armoire - closet (instead of wardrobe), m'ecrase - smashes me (just wrong word should be squashes), maman - mom (personal preference but Mum is traditional in English).

This book is aimed to help children discuss their feelings especially if they have cancer
I bought this book as a bilingual book for my grandson who lives in Germany and is trying to learn German. However feel the sub text isn't appropriate for everyday reading and is aimed at emotional issues.I wish I had seen this before I ordered it.
