Works amazingly.
Great tool which is easy to use and definitely designed for the job. Has been used on new paddocks which had quite a lot of ragworted in them when we took them over, not even showing any signs of wear and it's had a lot of hours use. Only downside is the prongs aren't very sharp, so on our paddocks which are rock hard in this weather, getting it to go into the ground was tough at times. We finished the last paddock after a bit of rain and it was much easier for us, the ground was still firm but not "baked hard". This tool should last us for years as it's so sturdy.

Very neat tool
As with all thugs, there's a knack to this... Pulling up small rosettes is a bit of a waste of time, but once a plant bolts and starts to go purple at the base of the stem, you're on. The idea is that the tines go in between 1.5 and 3cm away from the stem as it enters the ground - closer for small ones, slightly further away for larger plants. Use your foot to push it right in and then lean the tool away from the plant. As the handle approaches the ground, grasp the stem at the base and give it a steady pull. The central tine should lever up the root ball and the outer ones should loosen the soil around the finer roots. If you've done it right, the roots ease out of the soil and you don't end up pulling out a clod of earth. I've only been doing it for a couple of hours and I've got about a 50% strike rate. If you do end up pulling out a ball of earth, no biggy. Multi-stem plants are harder to do with this tool, as their roots are deeper and the tines aren't long enough. I'm still using a garden fork to loosen the soil around those, then hoy them out.Not so good with Dock, but perhaps I haven't got it quite right on those yet.

Great for Brambles Too.
Have used this tool extensively to remove bramble from a woodland. The rolled pivot effectively pulls the roots enough to be able to get your fingers under the root ball and pull out out the roots. Tines are extremely heavy duty and impossible to bend. Will last a lifetime.

Useful bit of kit
If I am honest, I wasn't expecting a lot from this. Thought it was a gimmick, but worth a try. I couldn't have been more wrong!!! It works brilliantly for me. Gets the root out without leaving gaping holes and hardly any effort needed. I only get the odd one or two ragwort plants growing so this tool will help me keep it to that. I would definitely buy again. It is well made and very sturdy. Also made in UK a bonus as I always try to buy UK goods where possible.

Thistles be gone!
I actually bought it to dig up thistles due to the rules coming in later this year and it seemed alot cheaper than £600 minimum that i would need to get myself registered to spray my own land. It is good and i have managed to pull up some thistles, but the little blighters need to be a certain size. Too small and it can't grab them, too big and you leave a big whopping hole in the field. Unfortunately thistles have a tendency to reproduce faster than i can pull! However, i will persevere and continue to pull. The only downside is that i then have to bend down to pick up the thistle to put in a bucket, but hey ho, never mind!

Essential, if you have more than a few.
Perfect for purpose. Strong tool, easy to use and exactly the right length tines for getting the plant and roots out (essential!) Wouldn’t be without it.

Sturdy packaging and arrived on day specified
Sturdy packaging and arrived on day specified. Excellent fork sturdy only problem handle was not red but black. If you have never got ragwort out I think a red handle can be important if you misplace the fork in the field you can spot the red easily amongst the yellow plants. Excellent for the job easy to use and does the job easily.
