Beautiful designs of women from around the world
I decided to treat myself to a new colouring book and this one caught my eye. It is full of beautiful pictures of women from around the world. The book is divided into three sections of 10 pictures each. All the pages have a framed border and they are all printed one the right hand side of the book and the left hand side is blank. There is one picture per page. The book size is 21.5cm x 28cmThe first section has more open spaces and could be considered as easier to colour in. The women are from Korea, France, Polynesia, Spain, Italy, South East Asia, Canada, Morocco, Native American and Western USA.The second set of ten drawings are named as Bride, Southern Belle, USA, UK, Japan, Pakistan, Peru, Nepal, Jamaica and South Africa. The third set of 10 are named India, Kamchakta, Victorian Lace, USA, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Switzerland and Ireland. These are slightly more detailed and the book describes them as being for expert level.I am not an expert at colouring in and I managed to colour ones from all sections, I think this book is suitable for all levels and you can make it more complicated by being more adventurous in your techniques but if you are using this book as I am, just for fun and to relax, then all the pages are perfect. There are 7 bonus pages which was a great surprise and they are of close ups of different faces. There is also a page divided in 4 of bonus drawings, three are cat theme and one is of a cowboy and dinosaur. The pages are not perforated and you would need to put a piece of cardboard under each page if you use alcohol ink pens as the ink will bleed through. If you are using regular colouring pencils this is not necessary. I used colouring pencils and I found that the colours showed up really well on this paper. There are 30 different pictures to colour in plus 7 bonus pictures.(there is also one page of sample pictures as well)I am looking forward to colouring in more pages and have added photographs.19/10/2016Update* I took this book with me to a colouring group to share with the other people there and I have added another picture

Brilliant new book...a joy to own!
This book is really beautiful, and one that will suit various levels of colourists from the beginner to the experienced...and of course those in between. The first ten pictures are for those of us with not so much experience...so contain bigger areas to colour without the tiny intricate details that scare us into hiding. The next ten are slightly more detailed to help us build up more courage on tackling some of the slightly more intricate detailing found on clothing and accessories from around the world...as well as helping us with getting to grips on colouring different skin tones (although you can obviously use your own artistic skills and colour in the skin tone any colour you like.).The last 10 pictures are the most difficult and contain delicate lace, intricate beadwork...and some of the finest drawings I have seen in all of the adult colouring books I have bought. You even get a lovely surprise at the end when you find that there are a further 10 pictures for you to colour that are close ups of the faces of 10 of these beautiful ladies...so that you can practice even more with your skin tone colouring...adding make-up etc...This book really is a joy to own...and I am very much looking forward to getting started...but as I love this book so much I have had to order myself a second copy...as I don't want to ruin my first copy. I also love that this book has the pictures on just one side of the page...meaning that you are open to using whichever medium you like...although maybe not paints...unless you copied the picture onto a more heavyweight watercolour type paper. But definitely alcohol markers, sharpies, gel pens etc...will be ok to use(as well as the obvious pencils and crayons)...providing you place a piece of card behind the page you are working on so that any bleed through does not go onto the next page.If you love colouring people...then I most definitely recommend you get this book...it really is a joy to own...happy colouring. xxxxx

Beautiful portrait images
Lovely artwork throughout, great if you like to colour skin or want to practice. It is create space paper unfortunately, but you can make it work with most pencils. If you want to use watercolours then I suggest you use Clear Gesso first to stop the paper from pilling or tearing.
