Flat in flavour
I was disappointed both with the taste and texture of Billy's Farm Organic Ginger and Walnut Spelt biscuits.The ginger was noticeably present without being harsh but I couldn't discern even a hint of the walnuts (the ingredients list walnuts at 4%) or the nuttiness of the wholemeal spelt flour. The raisin pieces add neither to the flavour nor the texture. Overall, the taste was so flat that it's possible the recipe needs more salt to bring out the flavours (the nutritional information reports 0.4g of salt per 100g) or that the biscuits need to be dunked in tea or otherwise heated to encourage some release of aroma or flavour.Overall, this is a dull biscuit.I didn't enjoy Billy's Farm Organic Ginger and Walnut Spelt biscuits and shall not buy them again. At 75 calories per biscuit, there are better ways to me to squander any discretionary calorie allowance.

where is the ginger?
ordered these as a healthy treat, there are nice but not what i was expected.They are not overly sweet which is nice not to have something overloaded in sugars and kids dont want to steel them on me, but yet won't refuse them ;) They are a nice oaty and walnut crunchy/crumbly biscuit, my only gripe is that is no ginger hit in them at all, can taste the walnut but the ginger is so faint that i dont know why they bothered putting ginger in the name!Also as to the packaging, i like it but all of the biscuits are broken, dont know whether this is down to them being delivered to ireland or not, but that really shouldn't make a difference!

so-so biscuits in a very good range
before these biscuits, i had already tried the wholemeal spiced, the apple and cranberry, the sesame and the speculoos. so you surely understand i like this brand: good crumbly biscuits, nice texture, absolutely not overloaded with sugar, nice not-too-strong-not-too-pale flavours. but, as written by another reviewer, the ginger and walnut have virtually no taste of ginger in them (only a faint aftertaste, not more than that). absolutely decent, but not unforgettable (and, like the other customer, the biscuits were almost all broken when i received them!)consider the wholemeal spiced biscuits (really excellent)as a more flavourful option, and the speculoos if you like that kind of crispiness. but anyway, i definitely consider billy's farm's range of an above average quality.

Delivery fast as usual, however, the best part of this order has to be the cookies themselves, they taste wonderful, and as the other reviewer said not too sweet, just right, a good crunch, and a good size cookie, just right for healthy snacking.If anyone is wondering there are 12 cookies in a pack and the offer is for 4 packs so you get 48 for your money, which is just under 20p a cookie which I think is very reasonable considering they areOrganic and Healthy, also very filling. The 4 packs had a good shelf life also mine have until Mar 2013 to be eaten in, doubt they will make it till then :))I work shifts and wanted something healthy, (other than making myself) portable and as delicious as the unhealthy stuff in our vending machine at work....

Not particulary tasty.
Not nearly as nice as the spelt apple and cranberry version. These seem drier and less tasty. The ginger taste is mild but ok. It's the walnuts that I can't taste. Rather bland really. Will get eaten but wont buy again; will go for the other flavours instead.

THey tasted like some fibrous
THey tasted like some fibrous, health food biscuits one would eat when on a strict weight loss programme. A bit like fibre food with a good deal of coconut fibre.

Beautifully made and really enjoyable cookies. You get the taste every ingredient!As healthy cookies go this one is top drawer. No sugar or artificial derivatives, just fruit!Only dampener was that some of the cookies were broken in delivery but that certainly didn't affect the quality of the product.Will be on my re-order shopping list when current lot are gobbled up!
