Powermaster379955 Switched Extension Lead with Neon Indicator 230V 6-Gang 2m

I really like it, I use it to connect my laptops (2 work, 1 personal) so that I can keep them plugged in and just switch the charger off from the extension. Few people say that the switches are too hard. They are a bit hard when you get the item yes, but they become better as you use it, and I have had it only for a month now, I find it good enough, wouldn't complain myself about how hard the switches are. I love the fact that it has light indicators which show exactly which switch is on. The light is right next to the plug, so there is no confusion. All in all, I am very happy with it and I would buy again. Bear in mind that you cannot fix it to the wall as it doesn't have holes for it, but if you will leave it on the floor like me, it is perfect and great value for money.

Good price for one with switches and 6 sockets. Switches are quite stiff though compared to most similar items, but work OK

I always assume and expect items such as these to give you an option for wall mounting. Not this item.

Well made and solid Product. However I expected it to have a means for attaching to the wall (eg holes through the unit so it can be screwed to the wall) it doesn't so cannot be hung on the wall out of the way. I stress that that is the only flaw (for me) it is an excellent product

I bought this extension lead as I wanted to be able to switch on/off my appliances selectively. One of the switches broke on the second or third day of use - I just turned the switch on to watch a movie and back off before going to sleep and it just would not "click", leaving the gang permanently on.I was not happy, but I know that sometimes items can be defective and as long as it was usable - one gang was permanently on but the other 5 were still operated by switches. Unfortunately, in a week's time a second switch broke in the same manner, so I came to the conclusion that the item is poorly made and I returned it.It is a real shame that nowadays more and more items sold on Amazon have thousands of 4/5-star reviews which are clearly not genuine. Since I am aware of this, I usually do my research and read a lot of reviews from similar products to try and find the best ones, but occasionally you get a disappointing product like this one. Luckily, Amazon's return process is seamless and their customer service is excellent.

A nice, positive click when operating the switches, but sometimes there is an annoying resistance when inserting a plug. I was surprised that there is NO provision for fixing the extension sockets to a wall. Insulated through-holes or keyways are usually provided on similar products.

This multi socket extension lead is good value for money. I always prefer to get individually switched extension leads but they are obviously more expensive than non-switched. I browsed all the supermarkets and cheaper household stores but this item was the cheapest and still good quality.
