Morton´s Extension Orthotic, Carbon Fiber Very Rigid Insole - 1 Pair - Morton's Toe, Turf Toe, Hallux Limitus, Hallux Rigidus, Arthritis (275 mm)

So far, I've worn these twice. My podiatrist diagnosed me with arthritis in my big toe and suggested I purchase this type of support. I spend most of my day on my feet, so its difficult to rest an injury. I've worn these for 2 days straight, and I am noticing that the support is allowing me to feel comfortable walking normally again. I haven't worn them on a walk or for a workout yet, but I expect that if I am careful, I will be happy with them.The only odd thing is that when I received the product, the packaging looked like it had been sealed originally, but it was open and there was a big sticker that said the product should be sealed. Since it was simply a shoe insert I ignored it, but it did give me pause. Otherwise I got exactly what I ordered and I am happy with it.

Ordered these after wearing custom orthotics ($$$$$) for a few years which were designed and digitally measured and built to address my Hallux Limitus/Rigidus in left big toe. My toe was really hurting and seemed to be getting progressively worse by wearing my custom orthotics. I took a chance on the very rigid Mortons Extension orthotic sole and let me tell you what a difference it has made. The full-length support combined with the super rigidness has amazingly reduced the pain in my big toe and for a fraction of the cost of a custom orthotic. As a golfer, I can once again walk 18 holes without pain and the pain in my toe overall has decreased by at least 80%. The Mortons Extension orthotic is very thin and will fit most shoes. The one exception is any shoe that has a high natural arch in the sole. For example, my cycling shoes have a very high built in arch and as a result the orthotic will not rest flat in the shoe and can't be used, but other than my cycling shoes, these are fantastic and work with all of my other shoes. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to limit the bend in their shoe and consequently minimize the stress on their big toe. In terms of sizing, I measured the length of the removable insoles in a few of my shoes and ordered a pair that was about 1/2 inch shorter. From my perspective, I figured for a minimal investment it was worth giving it a shot and I am very happy that I did.

Stiffened shoes below the big toe joint which relieves the pain from RA. Wear in trail runners (see photo) and sneakers. Don't work well for me w slip-ons since the stiffness pulls the heel off as I walk. Does impact shoe fit/volume if insoles are not flat, so bring with you to try on shoes. After telling my friend, he bought these too for his big toe pain.

Within only a few hours of wearing these inserts they started to rip a hole in the sole of my shoes. They are 100% flat and and so when placed in any pair of shoes (I tried every one I own and they all have some curved shape to the foot bed) the insert only makes contact with the shoe at the toe and heel, thereby creating intense pressure at those two spots and subsequently tearing a hole in the shoe. Since it only makes contact with your shoe unevenly, it was wobbly to walk. No shoe is 100% flat like these insoles so I can’t imaging what kind of shoe it would work with. I went to the shoe store and tried dozens of sneakers and hiking shoes and it wouldn’t lay flat in any of them. I have since ordered a full-foot orthotic with the Morton’s extension built in and it fits the shape of normal shoes much better while keeping my big toe from bending too much.

Nothing I dislike. Perfect for big toe pain. Use in tennis shoes when I play pickleball. Durable as expected and rigid. Takes pressure off big toe when I have to push off. Will buy again if needed. Thanks

My orthopedic surgeon recommended I purchase these inserts I did wear them but felt no relief or change so I return the product.I can’t say if they would work for you, but they just didn’t provide any change or improvement for me.

Wow, foot doctor recommended that I either order custom orthotics for $500...or have surgery to fuse my big toe...NOT HAPPENING! Was glad to find these insoles. They REALLY help me out a lot. I've always been a very active person, working out 5 to 6 days a week. Now at 63, naturally I've worn away cartilage. After wearing these, I experience no swelling or pain, but the comfort is incredible. Unlike other orthotics, these are thin carbon and do not make your shoe feel like it's over stuffed - which is great when you wear half or hidden socks. I don't have any problems with the socks slipping. Besides the comfort, you really can't tell anything is in your shoe except for that extra support when you take a step. They feel great! Highly recommend

My right big toe is broken and cannot be repaired with surgery. This device allows me to have full use of my right foot for athletic activities.
