Shepherd Hardware Move-It 9442 12-Inch Steel Tri-Dolly, 300-lb Load Capacity, Black

A small unit but it works great. Although it is strong enough to support furniture that is heavy, I just use it to roll things that are under 100 pounds across my apartment. It can hold a lot more weight than that. The unit came ready to go. No assembly required which is very important for me. I just keep it around for when I have to move small heavy things. I do not think the surface area is large enough to move refrigerators or couches. Not that it's not strong enough, it is, but I would use either several of them or something with a greater area space. But I really like the unit and I would recommend it. Just be aware of the diameter and what you are trying to move. I also use it for when something is delivered that is too heavy for me to carry down the hallway of my apartment building. It is great for that as well.

CAUTION, Buying this Product can cause "Rolleritus". LOL. So, I think I've bought like SIX (sets of four) of these puppies. They are great quality and the price is right! My problem is... I keep finding more and more items I can keep them under, to make this or that item - easily mobile and moveable in my tight spaces. For example, I use them on craft tables, so I can move them around, or put them together as needed. I've got them under Photographic Lighting stand tripods, Photo Backdrop Frames, Work Tables, Computer Desks... You name it! If you're tight on space (like Moi), and need to move things around to get at other things, man are these little guys a life-saver. They're very stable, come together packed in a box of four. 3 rubber pads on top are removable if required, and they can even be drilled and screwed to wood bases if needed. The more you buy, the more you start looking around and thinking, "I could make that mobile too!" LOL, you've got "Rolleritis". Overall, I think you'll really enjoy having these, as they just make life easier and more convenient. Peace out and move along... Fellow Rollers. ;-) UPDATE: Posted this great review. PRICE DOUBLED! Wanted to buy this again, but price DOUBLED ???, bought a competitor for < twenty. Now it's still 50% higher than the last time purchased... Hard Pass. There are many other sellers of similar type rollers in the low twenties price range.

These are much better than most of the cheap plastic movers you will find on Amazon, and they did work for our Studio Grand Piano, but the wheels would "lock" and not rotate that well, so if you can find a similar version of this with upgraded and rubberized wheels, I would go that route. However, it did allow us to move the piano from one room to another, but one of them also bent slightly so I doubt we could get many uses out of it before it starts scraping the floor.

I already had one of these and bought another one because I liked it so much. Now with two I can easily move couches by myself by placing them under the feet on one end. Then I pick up the other end and move it wherever I want. Because the legs are sitting in a ‘well’ they stay put and are much less likely to slip off than if you were using a regular dolly. You can move other furniture with feet using the same method, but be aware that it works best on hard floors and surfaces. Thick, plush carpets will be problematic. They are small and lightweight and easy to carry around, too. All-in-all, a great little dolly to have on hand!

I had to move an inside bamboo planter that weighs close to 300 lbs due to all the decorative rock that was used. Originally, I put it on one of those wood dollies just to get it moved, but then had the thought to permanently put it on some sort of casters to make it easier to move moving forward without it being on some oversized dolly. My planer is just over 12" wide and 39" long, so I went looking for 12" dollies. When I found these, I was pumped! They came in super fast and are VERY sturdy. The pads on top of all 3 wheels protect the bottom of the planter from getting scratched while providing plenty of friction, combined with the weight of the planter, to make sure that they wheels base doesn't slide around. I can now push my planter around confidently! I highly recommend.

Arrived without one of the 3 rubber pads for the item to sit on. Smaller than I expected but will work for our uses. I will use something to replace the rubber pads.

I needed to find a solution for storing my wife's Cabela's food grinder. It quite heavy and settled on making a platform with wheels that could be wheeled in and out of the pantry when needed. Searched Amazon and found the Shepherd 6-Inch Steel Tri-Dolly wheels. Perfect! First step was to make a wood platform out of stock oak board. Then attach the tri-dolly wheels. The entire dolly appears to be made of quality materials, and the wheels spin freely and in unison. With the food grinder on the platform it's no longer a chore to bring it out of storage. Great product, great value!

These little guys are well made and quite sturdy. If used for what they are made for then NO ONE should be having any problems, You cannot move a BOAT with these, so common sense must take some precedent here. Although, I cannot use them for what I wanted to use them for, (so my adult Son just told me) I will try my plan when he is NOT home and see if they will work. These have other uses, and I did buy 2. My use for these was to be used under the bottom of a heavy chrome tall stationery garment rack on tiled floors. These do roll easily over the tile with nothing on them, but the heavy garment rack may pose a tipping problem. I have to play with it to find out. I only have to move the garment rack a few times a year, and I know to be careful. So after I play, I will report back on the Move-it's. I did get the 12" and the chrome base on the rack is 12" X 15". Manipulating the triangles to fit will be my trick to play with. EDIT: Ok the Son left...and I played...and HE was RIGHT. Not gonna work the way I thought they would. So I built a wood n wheeled platform for the heavy chrome garment rack. Today I tried to figure out another use...my Large 27lb Computer Stack. Both of the 12" wiggled around held my Stack just fine...and rolls nice on the laminated floor. But the tower is 18" tall so the tip issue is still a concern. Yes can buy a pre-made under desk type, but I will build my own that will hold it without tipping issues. I still love these 12" Move-It's...Very Sturdy little guys.
