DEWALTDCM563PB-XJ 18 V 5 A XR Cordless Bare Unit Hedge Trimmer - Yellow

Great tool, sharp and cuts very well. Battery lasts well, I cut a large hedge taking about an hour to cut it and the battery still had life in it. Nice and light and easy to manoeuvre. Quieter than the trimmer it replaced.

I have the pole trimmer and chainsaw from DeWalt and have been very happy with those so thought I would try the standard trimmer. I also have a lot of DeWalt tools so have plenty of batteries.The trimmer is in the normal yellow box, with nothing other than a brief user guide. I was slightly surprised there wasn't a harness of any type. Also slightly surprised at how large the motor unit is. All in all it is a very impressive piece of kit, it really smacks of quality and considering it's DeWalt value for money. I don't think you will be disappointed.Construction is excellent, with all the switches very positive and the safety very easy to operate. Blade is very sharp as you would expect. It's light and powerful.First thing I did was try a 2ah and a 5ah battery. These are two new batteries that had both been recently charged to 100%. I have to say that I was very surprised by the outcome. The trimmer operates very well with the 2ah but it operates noticeably faster and with greater cutting power if you use a 5ah battery. So, I would say a 2ah is fine for general trimming but if you need something with a little bit more power then you need 5ah batteries.I have two 5ah batteries and a 6a charger and found that by the time one ran out the other was charged, so I could keep going indefinitely without a break.Great build quality. Highly recommended.

Excellent product for my needs - variety of hedging on three sides of my garden approx50m - much safer than cabled trimmers. Decent quality and sharp blades too. It was a bit more expensive than basic corded trimmers from diy outlets but worth the expense. In my experience the cheaper ones tend to last maximum of two seasons before gearbox packs in due to inferior components. The DeWalt is still going strong as I write.

So pleased with this DWALT hedge trimmer so far. Battery operated ( we had the batteries already -it doesn’t come with a battery) fairly light weight compared to our previous trimmers and very easy to use. Excellent value for money especially as it has performed better than any previous hedge trimmer. Would recommend.

Good quality ,much easier then corded ones,nice long reach ,batteries on the expensive side , can get cheaper batteries than named brand that work just as well

Bought to replace an old Black and Decked corded trimmer which was heavy and noisy.No more danger of cutting through wires!It is lighter, with a longer blade and also quieter.A pleasure to use.

Having already had a few dewalt batteries and tools I opted for this battery powered hedge trimmer . I’ve used it to tame the neighbours over hanging conifers and it cut through them with ease . I have yet to swap the battery over and used it for about an hour . Looks great , easy to use and cuts very well

The DeWalt cordless Hedge trimmer is first class! Light and easy to use. Had the job done in a fraction of the time it used to take. Definitely value for money. Excellen!
