Great to watch

Watched it with my 11yr old who’s a big FNAF fan and also loved the first M3GAN.

Very good not that scary but is creepy. A horror classic in the making

Over hyped. Far too tame and practically bloodless. Chucky would rip her apart.

First off this is not the greatest of films for an exploration of all things about AI and robotics (probably better off with the 2014 ‘Ex Machina’ for something more serious). M3GAN though is Hollywood entertainment with a capital ‘E’ and it delivers on that front. So the plot goes that a brilliant robotics engineer Gemma (Allison Williams) works for a toy corporation producing laughably hideous Furby-like toys for her demanding boss David (Ronny Chieng). Out of the blue, Gemma is tasked with taking care of her 9 year old niece Cady (Violet McGraw) who’s been suddenly orphaned. Having no experience in looking after children Gemma struggles to engage with Cady so brings home her prototype AI robotics project in the form of M3GAN to keep Cady company. What could possibly go wrong…? Apart from Cady hitting it off well with M3GAN darkly comic mayhem ensues as the prototype AI robot sets about protecting Cady from various threats with ruthless machine-like efficiency. We see early on who are to become likely targets for M3GAN’s focus and they may as well have flashing neon signs over their heads saying ‘Victim’. The film is utterly bonkers and a couple of scenes do stretch the credibility a bit too far but as the film does not take itself seriously these can be forgiven. Highlights to watch out for include an unsettling brief dance sequence in a corridor and a hat tip to the original 1984 Terminator film that you’ll know when you see it… The UK edition Blu-ray includes 2 versions of the film; in the original PG-13 edited Theatrical release and the more bloody uncut ‘Unseen Edition’ rated age 15 and over. This Blu-ray region free release is in 1080 High Definition widescreen (2.39:1 ratio), audio formats are in Dolby Atmos, Digital 7.1 with subtitles also available in English. Picture and sound quality were all good with no issues on this review copy. A few extras on the disc include how M3GAN was brought to ‘life’.

Bon film j'ai bien aimé de l'action, ça bouge on s'ennui pas après c'est pas non plus du grand art mais cela me suffit je laisse à d'autres de juger. Bonne qualité d'image avec ce 4k.

The single reason I didn't give it one star is because of my "gore hound"-gene, so its gore earned a second one, the movie containing some interesting parts in that regard. And speaking of the disc itself, both video and audio were quite impressive (I watched it using both a haptic vest and haptic head phones), so for this I'd give the disc a solid 5/5. But then the movie itself ... this is by far the worst movie I've seen where James Wan was involved (and the worst movie I've seen in at least 6 months).. It's obviously a cheap PG-13 Chucky knockoff, but the whole "re-imagining" angle didn't work at all with me and just seemed like a quick cash-grab. And I wonder if James Cameron saw the ending were, as in his Terminator masterpiece, Megan gets cut in half and crawls towards the main characters in an attempt to end their lives. An exact shameless copy/paste. If I were Mr. Cameron I'd sue, plain and simple. And is it a "meme"(?) now that there has to be a dancing scene in a horror movie these days? It looked utterly ridiculous to me. So, my conclusion: the audio/video/sfx: decent. The movie itself: abysmal.

Schneller Versand und gut verpackte Ware. Die Qualität ist super, wie auch der Sound. Persönlich finde ich den Film um einiges interessanter als Chucky... Alles Gut 👍

Per quanto mi riguarda, è un film pieno di contenuti e bello da vedere, non è il classico horror dove tutto si svolge all'insegna dello spargimento di sangue per poter spaventare lo spettatore. Film molto ben calibrato e di giusta suspense, in sostanza molto delicato nelle scene di violenza per non scendere al degrado e all'inutilità delle scene da "mattatoio".

Bon film, mais je reste sur ma faim. J’aurais aimé plus trash. Mais idée bien sympa.
