Very suitable for my project
Used backer rod to fill a gap between patio and house prior to caulking. Product was as promised. Nice to have the 100' roll in areas needing more material (stuffing the cavity as needed).

Works as intended, only complaint was the way it was shipped. It DOES state it’s not on a reel…but then don’t show us a reel. That’s like advertising chicken on a bone and then sending strips of boneless chicken and advertising “no bone inside”…who reads the descriptions????

A quality product to fill gaps
The product is a closed-cell foam "rod" that works well to fill gaps about 3/4" wide. It is round "noodle shape" flexible material that is compressible, however, compressing the material does not diminish its performance as a gap filler. Cuts easily with a pair of scissors, which is preferred to using a utility knife and to tearing. I recommend the product for the intended purpose, namely to fill gaps and crevices to seal air leaks and as a filler behind elastomeric type of caulks and sealants.

Much better than cardboard expansion joint
Filled gaps completely. Put four layers at my garage and sealed the top and second layer with the crack sealant. I won't have to replace in many, many years. Awesome product, easy to work with and much cheaper than the 20 foot packs you get at the big box stores.
