I was looking for a ring when then option popped up. It was more affordable and had more options! I love the 2 cameras! You would think going cheaper you would lose. But the quality of the video and battery are fantastic! I get months out of a charge! Easy to set up and the motion detection works great. Best yet, no subscription for it to save a weeks worth of video!

Install took me a little time because I had to fabricate a block of wood to mount the camera on due to the way my door is set up. I then mounted it on the camera on that. It has good picture for both day and night. Also nice that it lights up at night as you approach in case you forget to leave your porch light on. It nice that it works as is without the superscription, but the yearly price is much better than most other brands. I just needed a basic camera to watch the front door and to see when deliveries are dropped off. I like that it will use the existing door bell chime for power and it will ring it as well. I left my existing doorbell button in place as well so it will continue to work. And since it has a built in battery, if the power goes out, it will still record.I wired my camera in parallel so that if you push the button on the camera it will ring the existing doorbell and the remote chime that I placed in another location so it rings at the same time. No issues getting it set up.

Seemed like a good idea at the time. Nearly impossible instructions, especially for troubleshooting. You get the impression you are a mouse being led in a maze designed to make a fool of yourself. Things are written for someone who knows the ins and outs of this device already. Thought it was a great product until it wasn't. Absolutely the worst and the most convoluted support technology and instructions I have ever seen and no phone number. It's an expensive bad Joke on you! Its like a really bad joke...on you! I plan to throw mine away.

Support is excellent. They respond to email inquiries within 1 business day even before I bought the camera. This helps me decide to try & buy it. Could not install app using the 2D barcode provided. Downloaded "Lindo Life" app from play store. Installation was a breeze. Tried installing and tested first using battery option near router inside the house. Noticed that "Package detection" is absent and some features are available only when subscribe to "Service Plus." When camera was moved away from chime (still < 30 feet), the chime LED turned red. Followed instructions several times in support page but LED still red. Chime would ring but status in app is greyed out. Finally unplug chime for several minutes. Reinstalled the whole thing again and it worked! Support pushed an update and Chime synchronization became better, package detection(beta) option appeared, and trial offer of service plus showed. Message of app received in app as well as email. No need to download and install update. It is pushed automatically. This worries me that they may have access anytime to the app and/or device. After several days, installed the camera infront of the house using the wired option to my doorbell. Again it was a breeze even for someone like me who is wary of electrical wires. Don't forget to turn off your main power supply before installing. Battery will be trickle charged using wired connection as per support. Night color vision is only good if you have a bright porch light nearby else you need night vision(infrared) "on" or "auto on". Day color was excellent. Package detection is a hit or miss. I have to move my flower pots. During rainy days, I noticed some water beading on the camera surface causing blurring/distortion of live view. Remedied by using my car's window treatment to prevent beading. Porch lights could cause a glare. Waiting for an after market doorbell camera cover since there is no specific cover available for this camera. Images are stored in an encrypted chip inside camera instead of using a removable memory card. Battery is non removable. Again this worries me if the chip and/or battery fails, then I would need to buy a new one. So longevity is a big question mark. Motion detection is quite good. Other features like privacy and activity zone is a plus. Smartphone notification took a bit more of investigation to resolve the issue of no notification. It was more than just turning notification in my smartphone. Notification is not as immediate compared to a doorbell with a wired monitor but was good enough for me. A fast thief could still snatch my packages especially if the thief approach it from the side of the camera before an image/video is captured. I will try a higher sensitivity. In medium sensitivity, I noticed that it is not triggered by nearby plants when the wind is blowing hard. Alexa integration is still in the works as per support. Wish list would be a removable battery with an option to charged an extra battery in a separate charger, removable memory card that is attached to camera or better if it is inserted to a hub/chime device to prevent from being stolen, updated app in playstore, an adjustable wedge instead of a fixed wedge angle, a cloud storage option, a doorbell cover that will fit even if a wedge is used, and a glass/lens of camera that prevents water beading just like some glass/acrylic shower stall that has something incorporated to it to prevent beading. Overall, for what the camera offers, it is quite a good purchase and a good product. Highly recommend!

UPDATE (7/21/23)After leaving my original review below, I was contacted by Lindo and was issued a refund. I have since been in communication with one of their customer service representatives, Cerys, who has been very helpful in making sure that I am a satisfied customer. The company has been great to work with—it’s nice to know that there are still some places who hire actual human beings to communicate with customers!ORIGINAL REVIEW:The picture quality, ease of use, and night camera are all fantastic. The battery seems to last a long time too. I've had it for about 3 months and have only had to charge it once. I love that I didn't have to sign up for any kind of premium membership to have it do what I need it to do.However, this item was not inexpensive, and yet, it doesn't do what I need it to, so I guess that's sort of a moot point. I followed the installation instructions and it isn't alerting me when a package is delivered, and often doesn't even let me know when someone is at my door. I only know a delivery was made when I get the text or notification from the place that delivered it. I even tried repositioning it and using the little wedge mount thing, but still, no luck. I know everything is functioning properly though because every time I enter or exit my apartment, I get several notifications from the app telling me that a human was detected. I don't need this device to tell me when I am leaving or coming home. I need it to tell me when any person, whether it is me or someone else, is at my door. And more importantly, when a package is waiting for me. I have had things stolen from my porch before, which is why I bought this camera in the first place. But this camera is no use to me for the very reasons I bought it. Very disappointing.

After doing a lot of research and purchasing then returning other video doorbells, I knew I needed to purchase another Lindo! Unlike most people, I need notification when a vehicle goes past my house, and this doorbell is the only one that does what I need it to do! It also has a great viewing area, is very easy to set up, and has many usable options. I would highly recommend this video doorbell!

Video processing is very slow n it runs 5 secs behind
