RayherCrop-a-Dile Corner Chomper, 1/4" and 1/2"

This is my third corner chomper. The first two broke in exactly the same place. It’s flimsy and strong in equal measure. The plastic guide is the flimsy bit and once it breaks the chomper is useless., how it cuts is the strong bit. My pervious two didn’t line up properly for the 1/2” cut, the 1/4” was absolutely fine. Unfortunately it’s the 1/2” that I use most. It doesn’t cut a smooth rounded edge. There’s a bit of a ledge bit that needs to be filed or trimmed. I didn’t bother attaching pictures as lots of other people already have. The place that collects the trimmings is tiny so needs emptying very often. I’m annoyed at myself as a decided I wouldn’t have another one and should have been looking for an alternative before I needed it NOW! I was in the middle of a project and needed another one quickly, when it broke, to finish what I was doing. Amazon has got us spoilt with quick delivery! I couldn’t believe that after reading the reviews it would appear that everything is still the same. This new one doesn’t cut the 1/2” properly either. I’m not having another one and will make sure I do plenty of research and get one that does what it says on the tin. I also felt that it wasn’t cheap. If it had been I wouldn’t have bothered leaving a review.

Currently awaiting the supplier Rahyer to respond as want to return as the 1/2” side is faulty. So disappointed with the quality of this

1/4 inch side works fine.1/2 inch side seems to be misaligned and doesn’t punch smoothly (leaves a sort of jagged instep on one side) I didn’t notice for a while, I’d been using the 1/4 inch only for some time.
