Dream Street: W. Eugene Smith's Pittsburgh Project

This is a review of the books construction, not it's contents
Eugene Smith is an icon and and inspiration. Unfortunately the book began to fall apart on opening, the binding is awful. I see from other reviewers that they have had the same experience. This printing/edition is best avoided until, hopefully, it gets bound properly.PS I waited a while and ordered another copy, the pages immediately began falling out. Best avoid this edition

Beautiful work, terrible binding
The photography is great, as one would expect. But the binding, as mentioned in another review, is terrible. Bunches of pages came loose (or were already loose) on first opening the book. I would say don't buy it until it's reprinted.

The journey of one of the most important artists ever
Photographs by the greatest artist of the twentieth century. A statement on behalf of humanity. I met Eugene Smith once. He is as kind as his photographs.

Espectacular
Han sido muchos meses de espera, pero al final me ha llegado una de las grandes obras de fotografía documental de la historia a un precio asequible.

Great coverage of one of our greatest photographers
Very well researched book on W. Eugene Smith. Decent reproduction of the images to whet your appetite for the better reproduced images. If you are a street photographer or a journalist studying W. Eugene Smith will elevate your work.
