Review: Perfect - I have seen other reviews saying the ice is not clear, but this is not my experience. The ice is perfect every time, and very beautiful. It's a very well designed mould and the insulation around the reservoir below the moulds is evidently very good. I do need to use water that's passed through my water filter jug. If I don't do that, there is normally a small layer of cloudy ice within the spheres, but with filtered water it's very very good.
Review: I’ve had this clear ice ball maker for over a year and tested it many times. Using filtered water and following the instructions, the ice balls always came out clear and perfectly shaped. You just have to fill it to the correct level. I didn’t try tap water, but filtered water worked great. It consistently makes four ice balls by the next day. I also experimented with adding lemon or orange peel — they weren’t as clear, but still looked great in drinks. The inserts are high quality and durable; even when I pulled them out early, they never tore. It’s compact, easy for home use, and the ice releases best if you let it sit for a couple minutes before removing. I usually transfer the finished balls into a Ziploc bag and refill the mold. Overall, great quality and very reliable results.

**Q: Kind of water to use?**
A: Filtered water is best but straight tap water works fine.  Use warm water to slow freezing process and create clear ice balls.

**Q: y do i need this hole cuntaner, its taking up to much plece in my freezer, what is the siyentce of it?**
A: Yes, it holds the unit together. It freezes from the top down forcing the air bubbles in the water to the bottom.

**Q: Is the bottom made of styrofoam or plastic?**
A: Plastic. Pretty well made. PITA to get the frozen cubes out, but seems to function well enough.
