TedGem Stainless Steel Potato Masher, Black Handle, 12 × 7 × 17 cm

Well I never, I'm reviewing a potato masher! It's bloody good actually. What a great design - far better than my old single handled masher. This one fits into the edges of the pan so that no potato is missed. It all squidges through the holes like mince! It's superb. Marvellous!!!! BUY IT! THIS IS THE ONE TO GET (took me ages to decide on which one to get)

This style of masher is just what we had been looking for, it creams potatoes easily and with comfort due to the horizontal handle, a great comfort to those of us with poor grip.It looses one star on comfort simply because the handle coating could have been made better, softer perhaps, but its a minor point really.The ease of cleaning is truly excellent, being steel, it is strong yet thin and therefore anything left on is quickly washed off under a tap.A word of warning here; being steel I would highly recommend transferring potatoes to a strong plastic or glass dish for mashing because if you have a non stick pan and elect to mash in the pan you can be sure to leave scratches and possible ruin the pan. Good idea to warm a glass dish if you use that for mashing, don't want the mash to get cold!Thoroughly recommended product, works well

£6.99 for a masher?? Wasn't too sure to begin with as it's something we always seem to have to buy, never found a decent masher that lasts and actually mashes properly, until we bought this one! It's nice and light and me mashes with great ease. No more lumpy mash. Washes well and it lasting great. Excellent buy

This is definitely the one. You Can grip it properly when you are mashing not like conventional mashers with a normal handle that digs into the palm of your hand when mashing. Good quality product and very easy to wash. I thought it was very reasonable plus I had a potato peeler in the box which is equally easy to use, very sharp and once you master how to use it, it’s really quick and easy to use.Once I have mashed I do put the milk and butter in and whisk but that’s a different kitchen tool.

Badger loves?"MASHED POTATO"Indeed I have several Badgers and they are all fiends for mashed potato. Now, instead of scooting through your bins for mash scrapings and old bits of baked potato they can pretend are mash, I can make them real mashed potato. With real potatoes.This "device" turns round, boiled, potatoes into creamy mash fit for any mustelidae. The other advantage is it's stopped them stealing packets of Smash from the corner shop. The lady there is very nice but she's sick and tired of waving her mop at the little black and white faced rascals as they scamper up and down the street pouring dried potato pellets into their fuzzy chops.So think of this as an environmental tool as well as a handy chef's implement.

Replacing my current stainless steel masher as seen better days and despite gluing and soldering often came apart in use. (Still is around 30 years old). Was of traditional design so thought I give this type a try, so far not disappointed. Difficult to be enthusiastic about a kitchen utensil but is a nice bit of kit.

This masher is brilliant. We use a potato ricer normally but when we only do a small amount it’s easier to use this. It’s easier to clean than the ricer too. We also use it when we add butter to the riced potatoes and it mashes the butter in easily. It’s comfy to hold too. The real bonus is the peeler you get FREE! Quite frankly it’s AMAZING. It’s super sharp so it slides through the veg skins easily even swede! Then the other side makes spaghetti veg which I love. I highly recommend both products

A different shape to the usual straight handle mashers. I wondered if it would be comfortable and it was. Much more comfortable to use than the straight type and worked very well on swede which is notorious for being a lumpy vegetable to mash.Being a stainless steel construction it’s solid and doesn’t bend and the design is well thought out and constructed.Easy to clean and dishwasher safeVery good value and Recommended
