it's surprisingly thin. i could not believe it is waterproof so i poured water on it. the water was immediately absorbed, my hand underneath felt cold. i thought water was leaking. but NO! my hand was cool but DRY. this is amazing! the speed how the water was absorbed also made things so much easier in time of 'accident'. the only thing that i can pick on (if i have to), is the terry towel is not all that smooth and soft (it's not exceptionally hard or rough, just it would be perfect if it was softer and smoother :) for i have this something for terry towel). but to do it justice, i love it and highly recommend this!

This is really nice to lie on. A tiny bit noisy at first & I do means tiny bit, but then silent. My wife has long term health issues & her medication often gives her severe night sweats, this has stopped the new mattress getting stained etc. No odour issues with this either & very easy to put on & take off. Dries quickly when washed too.

Initially bought one of these to see how effective it would be after reading some reviews claiming a lack of waterproofing for use with an elderly relative who has started having more frequent accidents. It was tested the same night and whilst it appears quite thin this has proven to be very effective protecting the mattress without any leaks even when left for long periods. I've actually bought a second of these since my initial purchase as it worked so well. They both fit the king size bed well and have gone through a hot wash twice without any problems.

This review is of the single cotton variety by Velfont with reference to the bamboo double at the end.These are absolutely fab for those times when my daughter wets the bed. She usually wakes up straight away and lets me know, bedding gets changed, mattress stays dry. I think if there is a short delay (eg. She wakes up to find herself wet in the morning, having wet the bed sometime overnight) that is probably fine too. I also love that these can be washed hot (up to 90° I think although I have never washed above 60°) and can be tumble dried on low/synthetic setting.BUT... the other day she neglected to tell me that she woke up wet and I didn't see the wet patch on her bed till the following evening. Because this mattress protector is breatheable PUL material (like is used on washable nappies) the mattress was dry but absolutely STANK of urine. I'm not sure if the wet had gradually seeped through into the mattress and dried out again by the evening, or if it was just the smell that seeped through, but either way, it was a BIG PAIN to have to deal with right before bedtime.Moral of the story if you want something 100% waterproof go with old fashioned rubber sheets! However, so long as these get changed straight away when accidents happen, they work just fine, hence 4 stars. They are also not crinkly or noisy to sleep on. I have the double bamboo version of this sheet on my own bed to protect the mattress from (my husband's, ahem) sweat and so forth. Bamboo is more absorbant but would probably go for the cotton variety in the future because it takes an AGE to dry! Tumbling never seems to get it completely dry either because of the PUL lining restricting the airflow and it takes ages to air out on the line after. The single cotton ones do not have this problem. They dry almost completely in the drier and only take a short amount of airing on the line or on the bed before putting the sheet on top.

I bought a second one of these protectors to keep on stock as they are really excellent. Good price, next day delivery with Amazon Prime and unlike other protectors I’ve had you don’t feel as if you are sleeping on anything plastic and nor does it make the bed feel hot. Best of all, following a knee operation which bled during the night, it worked perfectly and my mattress was unmarked and the protector came up like new when washed. Highly recommended.

I bought this as a replacement for my sons old waterproof sheet that is no longer waterproof, this is so much nicer than his old one which did not have terry towelling on it, this one feels so lovely and soft, you wouldn't even need to use a sheet over the top.It fits his single mattress really well, It was put to the test the other night and it did the job, there was no dampness underneath it, the mattress was bone dry.The only problem is because it is terry towelling it does take a long time to dry, I am about to buy a second one so I can just swap them over whenever he has an accident without worrying about how long it will take to wash and dry.I would definitely recommend it.

Not too crinkly and it really is waterproof, even when a large amount of liquid sits on it for hours! It is machine washable but obviously takes a while to dry. (I just hang it up) The only issue for me is that the waterproof area is only on top, the sides are made of a light mesh-like material and I've had the sides of the mattress get wet because of this. Will see if I can find a mattress protector that is waterproof all the way around, otherwise I'll likely buy another one of these.UPDATE:After almost two months of use, the sheet isn't really waterproof anymore. After my puppy had an accident on it some of the urine leaked through and there was a stain on the mattress, though it isn't as bad as it would be without the sheet, I'm a bit disappointed at the short life span of this.

Very good, doesn't feel crinkly, no complaints from the family, washes well.

Diesen Matratzenschutz zieht man einfach wie ein Bettlaken auf die Matratze auf.Ich nutze es für eine Matratze mit den Maßen 90cmx200cm und finde es etwas groß.Zudem raschelt es ein wenig, aber dass habe ich beim schlafen/liegen nicht mehr gemerkt/gehört und deshalb stört es nicht weiter.Es ist definitiv Luftdurchlässig, da man im Bett nicht schwitzt und Wasserdicht ist es auch, dass wurde extra getestet.Ich kann diesen Schutz sehr empfehlen und würde ihn wohl wieder kaufen.Nachtrag 8 Monate später:Das rascheln habe ich schon eine Woche nach meiner Bewertung nicht mehr wahrgenommen, da es dann nicht mehr vorhanden war.Über diesem Matratzenschoner nutze ich noch ein normales Bettlaken. Ohne zusätzliches Bettlaken, habe ich das Gefühl doch ein wenig zu schwitzen, aber mit war es diesen Sommer auch bei extremen Temperaturen kein Problem zu schlafen.

Dieser Matratzenschoner passt hervorragend über ein 180*200 Bett. Er ist sehr dünn, so dass ein Laken ohne Probleme darüber gezogen werden kann. An den Seiten ist ein transparentes Material verwandt worden, so dass ausreichend Belüstung der Matratze sichergestellt ist. Ich kann keinerlei Geräusche feststellen und bin nun entspannter, wenn Junir bei uns schläft und doch mal was daneben geht. Ich werde mir einen zweiten in Reserve kaufen, da er auch weniger Platz im Schrank wegnimmt, als die Standardschoner.

Vorab: Dieser Matratzenschoner ist nicht komplett Wasserdicht!Was man von einer atmungsaktiven Auflage allerdings auch nie erwarten sollte.Daher gibt es für mich keinen Grund einen Stern abzuziehen.Ansonsten bin ich mit der Qualität der Ware sehr zufrieden.Die Verarbeitung ist gut, das viel beklagte Knistern kaum zu bemerken und die Ausdünstungen der Schlafenden werden komplett aufgefangen bzw. abgehalten.Sollte es mal zu einer größeren Menge an Flüssigkeit auf einmal kommen, wie z.B. einem umgekippten Glas Wasser o.ä.,wird kurzzeitig der Großteil von der Auflage abgefangen. Es wurde von mir jedoch nie eine Langzeiteinwirkung getestet!

Wir haben genau diesen Schonbezug schon vor Jahren gekauft. Inzwischen wurde er so oft gewaschen und beschlafen, dass er sich langsam auflöste. Die Gummiseite löste sich tatsächlich einfach auf. Da wir aber so zufrieden waren, haben wir den gleichen wieder gekauft. Man spürt den Bezug beim Schlafen nicht, weder im Sommer noch im Winter. Er hält die Matratze auch dann trocken, wenn man mal Wasser verschüttet. Demzufolge nehme ich an, dass er auch den Schweiß von der Matratze fernhält. Und genau darum geht es ja, daher 5 Sterne und volle Kaufempfehlung.Erwähnt sei noch, dass es für ein normales Doppelbett mit zwei Standard-Matratzen ganz leicht ist, den Bezug drüber zu ziehen. Er sitzt auch so gut, dass er nicht abgeht, wenn man das Bettlaken wechselt.
