Great idea but no instructions
Great idea. Bought it as a Christmas present so it hasn't been properly used yet. It would be better if it came with some instructions. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to turn it on and off but its easy to do once you know how.

Perfect for walking the dog on dark country lanes.
Adequate beam for seeing the full width of country lanes, beam at the right angle to light the path ahead and bright enough to warn traffic. Bulbs are stitched in so can't be removed for washing the hat, and no washing instructions supplied.

The hat itself is fine.
Brought for walking the dog in the winter, however the light is not very bright and does not illuminate the pathway in front as the light faces forward, it needs to be angled down. I find I have to walk with me head bent downward to make any use of the light that it omits. The hat itself is fine.

I got this for my wife for running at night. She already has a head torch but it was too uncomfortable. Whereas she thinks this hat is great. It's surprisingly bright, very comfortable and also keeps her warm too, :)

I have a fat head so it's a bit small but still fits keeps me bould patch warm and frost free. Lights good. But yes there is a big but if you have a child like me buy two as I have now had it taken off me by me son. So his review is great fits great and warm. Overall great for price

Well worth the money paid!
Works fine, hats a good size. Just wished it had a few more lumins but it is pitch black where I walk my dog.

my dad loves this for walking the dogs and he was amazed at how bright it was. great product.Update 21/1/2016 - while it is a great idea, it is not very durable - the wire for the light broke the 3rd time he wore it. On the plus side, he's still got a hat.

Great light
Delighted with this beanie. The light is great. Can see to read with it. Makes walking in the dark safer as I can see the pavement/road and drivers can see me. Gave my son a hat for his camping trips and my brother one for walking his dog. Going to keep one in the car for emergencies.
