Rides Smooth
Put a leveling kit on my 2007 F-150 a few years ago that came with shocks for the rear that were universal for 0-6” lift. But didn’t ride any worse than the shocks they replaced. Got these ones on for the last few weeks since they allow for a 1” lift in the rear max. Wish I would’ve got these sooner!

Big enhancement on 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew RWD
I have purchased these Bilstein 5100s for my 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew RWD.Original shocks and struts were on with 150.000miles on.I have replaced rear ones in 15 minutes with Bilstein 5100s, and big difference was noticable in the rear when going over deep drops and bumps on the road at high speeds. No more bouncing like a ball or trampoline effect.I also replaced the front shock and strut assembly on both sides with Ford Motorcraft heavy duty oem preloaded shock assemblies. Oh boy, whole new truck now, drives like on cotton pillow, big improvement on bumps, curves and turns, breaking and stopping time. No more diving on hard breaks, no more leaning to the sides when truck was fighting to turn the curves over 25mph. No more clunky road sounds, my truck height is back to original height, it is much higher than before I replaced the old ones.My truck now feels like dream.I choose OEM for the front because of the warranty purposes and process in case of need in future. Also Bilstein front struts and springs are too stiff, you will feel the road too much. OEM front shock assembly is just perfect and creates a good balance with Bilstein 5100s in rear.Old ones were not opening/expanding at all and basically they were dead.I just wanna drive more, can't wait for the hunting season to do a little dirt road experience with these new shocks.Make sure you get balance and wheel alignment, just to make sure everything is corrected on drive train to get the best out of new suspensions.I high recommend theae Bilstein struts, especially for the rear. Can't go wrong with finest German Engineering!!!

Durability
So I got this a few months ago to replace the original from a f150 2006 the fit great they where about a 1" taller and btw I also add 3"blocks and guys the shocks are not push out at all ,I'm a contractor and my truck take a betting every week, matter fact, I loaded 2 full granite slabs last week about 1800lbs and even tho the weight of the slabs push the truck down I didn't had no issues with bumps or ugly roads. I really recommend this product. I didn't review this early bcs I really want it to see the durability and gush I used to change shocks about Every 6 months this bad boys will last!!! trust me I really mean it.... great value , gorgeous finish and performance to the limit

Great Shocks, Quick Install! (Price is for ONE shock)
Bought a pair of these shocks and got them installed on my 2006 F-150 2wd today. They are very firm and offer a smooth ride quality. Some things to note are that this is for ONE shock so you will have to purchase two of these for a set. Also they do not come compressed and with the plastic band around them so you will have to compress them. For installation on 04-08 2wd F-150 you will need an 18mm wrench and a 15mm socket or wrench and 2 flat head screw drivers or something to use as a pry bar. The shocks are mounted with 2 15mm bolts with 18mm nuts. I would recommend putting the bottom of the shock in first and sliding the bolt threw and then pushing down from the top to compress the shock until you can slide the top part into the mount. Then I utilized screwdrivers to maneuver and align the holes and slide the top bolt through. Overall about 10-15 mins a side, very easy.

buy a pry bar and use a floor jack
Shocks are great but in order to compress them use a floor jack and when you get to the mounting area use a pry bar to push it up. Then you can slide in the shock and put in the bottom bolt.

Perfect for my F150
They made a big difference on the rear of the truck. I don't hear the rear slamming when I go over bumps now. Make sure to install boot down per Bilstein recommended installation.
