I don't normally waste my time putting reviews on purchases onto Amazon but I'll make an exception this time as I genuinely think this has been a good buy. Needed a new extendable lead for my 7 month old Shih Tzu puppy, who managed to bite his way through the old one I had and I have to say, so far, am very pleased with this purchase. It's a dog lead so I'm not going to use stupid jargon but I've found it to be robust, good in the hand, the winding mechanism is very quiet compared to the previous one I had and the locking mechanism works well, stopping and releasing when I want. My pup has a tendancy to pull quite a bit but so far, he hasn't broken this one and I've been quietly impressed with this lead. It's not going to change my life but it has actually done what I need it to do, helped me control my dog while giving him a bit of freedom.

I didn’t expect this lead to be so big! I had to sell it the next day as it was far too big and heavy for my dog. Although I can see it as being a good lead for heavy duty dogs that weigh a lot.

Needed to replace after the first one bought about 2 half years ago finally gave up - the lead came away from the handle. Happy to purchase again but hopefully will last a bit longer this time. (Bought for our 25kg Border Collie)

Bought as I couldn't find a replacement for the really strong Rova retractable lead that I'd had for years (rescue dog bit through it!) This lead has done well so far (2 months in), seems sturdy enough and I like the reflective strip running through it.

I bought this for my adult German Shapherd . It feels nice to handle and strong enough to hold her when she sees a cat. I have no problem recommending this product.

The lead is good and git this one again after losing the other, came on time etc, however, I could not believe that it was absolutely filthy with some white crumbly stuff on it and the clasp was corroded, I've cleaned it but the clasp is still awful but all works and I need it otherwise I'd of sent it back.

Received it quite quick.Looks just like the picture.Our puppy arrives in a few weeks so I can comment more when in use :)

As per the headline my 8kg dog who doesn’t have many teeth has pretty much chewed through the tape on a couple of walks I don’t use it anymore incase it splits completely if she pulls, waste of money
