Marvel Avengers Assemble Top Trumps Card Game

The cards themselves are great, but I bought them as a gift, and the outer case was 'sticky' - so some of the cardboard packaging sticks to the pack, and it isn't easy to get off. Just a watchout.

I thought they were a reprint of the original Marvel Top Trumps I had as a kid. But they are not! They are just "retro" styled. Also they are the mini pack - half as many cards for quick game. Disappointing!

These are a bit hit with my 4 and 5 year old, who love playing Top Trumps and the Marvel pack is no exception to this. The game is short enough to not lose attention but long enough for an entertaining 15 minutes or so. As others have said the stats sometimes don't seem to be entirely correct. The only other drawback is that the cards are quite thin so keep away from any younger ones.

I have been playing some other sets from this game line but one tends to grow weary of them after a time. Since I recently fell in love with the MCU I decided it would be nice to get this one to my collection. Upon its arrival I played it with a couple friends of mine and we enjoyied it a lot. It was sad to see, though, that one of the qualities in the cards is quite annoying, being Top Trumps Rating. I think the game makers could have placed a multitude of other qualities into this one, but I'm not really complaining. The gameplay is nice, the images on the cards are okay and its fun.

I bought these as a secret santa present for a friend at university. The game itself it easy to understand so it is perfect for children but they can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They were perfect for a lull in the party that called for a quick game that was not too involved and that people could talk around (you could play more in depth with children). The competitiveness really kicked in! I would suggest that they and other similar sets are an excellent stocking filler or secret santa gift that can be used straight away and still have a use later. Incredibly simple to use and the rules are very clear so it avoids arguments and everyone involved stands a near equal chance of winning (only a minor level of skill needed). Very well priced as well! Came quickly and in an excellent condition.
