If you're considering this item, I'll save you from reading the rest of my review by telling you to go for it!This far exceeded my expectations and honestly impresses me. If I'm impressed then I'm sure others that view my home office will appreciate the aesthetic as well. Not only is it stylish but highly functional. I usually run a laptop and desktop simultaneously with a total of four screens. This mat provides some order to that chaos as well as room for two keyboards, two mice, and small notepad.When ordering this mat I imagined that the backing and overall mat would be thicker. I was very glad to find that it is very thin, but not to the extent that it lessens the quality. I haven't had any issue with it sliding, so the rubber backing is sufficient at holding it in place. I ordered the solid blue color. I would suggest the solid colors over the "leather" ones for the simple fact that these are microfiber leather. Any authentic leather colors will not look like genuine leather and would end up making it look of lesser quality than it actually is. That's just my opinion.I can't speak to the long-term durability yet, but at this price I wouldn't be disappointed if I had to buy a new one every year. At this time I expect that it will last much longer than that. The travel capabilities with the roll strap is a good addition if you plan on taking it on vacation or an extended work trip. I don't think it will be useful for regular travel to a coffee shop, classroom, or library just for the sheer size of the mat (31" x 15.5") when in place.Fantastic style, fantastic price, fantastic quality!

This writing desk mat has worked better than I expected. It's a perfect fit for our small Ikea writing desk (almost like it was made to fit). I rolled out completely flat right out of the box, unlike some pads that never give up their curl after being rolled up for shipping. The surface has proved to be very durable on a desk that gets a lot of use (computer, tea cups, writing, etc.). Spills wipe up easily. The pad has a sort of suede-like finish on the back side, which keeps it from sliding around on the desk. That's really nice compared our previous pad, which constantly had to be slid back into place. The pad is thin and smooth -- feels sort of like those fancy leather covered writing desks from the old days. The tan color blends perfectly with the natural wood of the Ikea desk, so you don't even notice the top is covered with a wall-to-wall pad.

I don't usually write reviews but I was so impressed with this product I felt they deserved a good review. I bought this desk pad so I could get rid of my mouse pad and have a cleaner looking desktop. The item arrived quickly and I was impressed right away with the packaging: the pad came in a long box, rolled up and wrapped in a protective sheet. Sometimes you buy things online and they say leather but when they arrive they don't look, feel or smell like leather, so I held my expectations in check until I got it. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The quality is excellent! It definitely looks and feels like soft leather (no smell that I can tell). It works great as a mouse pad and gives my desk a classy facelift as well. Would definitely buy again - 5 stars in every category!

I've had this mat for a couple of years and it still looks new. It's a good desk protector, mouse pad, writing pad and looks great. It doesn't stick to the the desk which is probably a good thing since it doesn't leave any marks or residue on the desk. It cleans easily and doesn't seem to stain.

I really like this pad. I did put books on mine to straighten it out, and it still curls just barely, but it's imperceptible to most people. It slid around more than I'd like, so I cut up that foamy, sticky drawer liner stuff and super-glued it to the back to make it slightly more cushy and sticky. That worked really well, and I'd recommend it because it really improved the product for my use. I bought it primarily because I needed a catch-all solution- I have a hand-painted desk that scratches a little easier than I'd like, I lean on my elbows a lot and it was marking up my desk over time from the skin oils, lotion, and pressure, and I needed a new mousepad. This product solved all three problems. It protects my desk, cushions my elbows (particularly with the pad underneath), and my Magic Mouse 2 works perfect on it. It's easy to wipe off with a disinfecting wipe, and it doesn't stain or discolor that I've found. I'm really satisfied with it and enjoy it. The color is pretty true-to-image, and it works well with the deep blue-green my desk is.

Does the job and easy to clean. Plus I really like the color and feel. Easy for me to move my mouse around without a problem.

We have a small slanted front desk. The mouse pad was never in the right spot, and I tried grippy contact paper, but the surface wasn't great and the mouse pad slid all over. But THIS solved it! The back of the pad is like leather-back. So it's not sticky, but it doesn't slide. It stays on the slanted wooden surface (the slant angle is about 20 degrees). And the top of the pad is a nice surface where the mouse stays where it should, but also moves around easily to use. And the laptop stay in place, on the slanted surface, on this pad. And yet, it doesn't stick to your arms, even on a hot day. It's great, and completely and totally worth it!

I love that this is large and is also a mouse pad.It is soft on my hand for typing. The color is nice and it is blue on the other side so you can change it up once in a while.It was rolled up in the box but straightened out very easily, I really didn't even have to put heavy books on it to straighten it out.

Pros:- Really very nice material - good leather feel & no smell- Very easy to clean and no stains (been using it for more than a week now)- Looks really goodCons:- doesn't stay in place - I had to stick it with the table with dual sided tape- It comes rolled and so the side that's rolled inwards isn't staying flat on the table. I had tried putting weights on it but still it's curled. Don't want to stick it with tape as well but looks like that's the only option.I'd definitely recommend this product.
