when it works it is brilliant. I have a third-gen Honda CRV
First one I received didn't work properly..the power was very intermittent and closer inspection showed the power cable at the join with the cigarette lighter adapter to be a bit frayed - a definite design flaw with this product. However, I immediately contacted the seller who was really prompt and helpful and dispatched another unit immediately, so 5 stars to them for service. I've only dropped a star because the replacement unit can still be a little finicky to power up....when I leave it plugged into the cigarette lighter, it connects to my phone about 80% of the time, the rest of the time, I have to unplug then replug it in. I've tried this on another car too, same issues, so definitely a fault with the unit, but not enough of a fault for me to return it.With regards to the device itself, when it works it is brilliant. I have a third-gen Honda CRV, and in the cubby hole between the front two seats there is a 3.5mm AUX in and a cigarette lighter right next to it...perfect for this as all the cables store away nicely in the cubby hole with only the microphone/button section out on display down near the handbrake.I'm told by people calling me in the car that the signal is nice and clear, even though the mic is probably 3 feet away from my mouth, and using Google Now (Android's version of Siri) it hears me clearly when I say "OK Google".For the price, this is a brilliant unit and is an incredibly cheap way to upgrade your car to be "Bluetooth Ready". I've not tried the "more than one phone at a time feature" so can't comment on that.4 out of 5 purely because of the intermittent power problems.

Excellent sound, connectivity problem.
I needed this for music, not for calls. I did not expect such a good sound I get throught Kinivo. It's really excellent, but I was also curious use it for calls. But this dissapoint me and not using it anymore. Sound was pure and drowned. But I don't mind, music was the point for me. Really good option is connecting two devices in one time, good on long jorneys, music from phone and movies from tablet for children. You dont need still reconecting devices, especialy when you drive the car. I need to factor frozen device when you have it plug in and want to start engine. Key in starting position give energy for 12V plug jn car, start Kinivo, then you start engine and Kinivo froze. I need then unplug Kinivo, wait aprox. 30 seconds, then plug it in again, works. Sometimes it has also problem connect devices. My phone seems connected, but it is not streaming music. Then i have to switch of bluetooth, switch on, and it works. It is the same with my Sony Z3 and Samsung Galaxy.

Good quality sound but hoped for an overall better product
Sound quality is very good, can't fault the product there. However, have to go into my bluetooth settings everytime I start the car to connect to it which is an inconvenience. Also, connecting new phones is not as simple as it should be - I have to put the handset in pairing mode and connect which is normal but it forgets any phones it was previously connected to, so I have to go through this process everytime after somebody new connects just to connect my phone again. When its connected it's great, but connecting it is the problem. I've used bluetooth systems before that are much more seamless.

Good quality, great value
A few days in and I'm absolutely delighted with this little device. I fitted it to a 2006 5-Series BMW which only has an AUX audio in socket: it's perfect, as the power supply is next to the input socket behind the armrest, and if the button is placed behind and below the indicator stalk the cable can easily be made to disappear into the trim with a screwdriver/5p piece.I imagine that most people will be deciding between this product and the identically priced Avantree Cara II. I chose the Kinivo. Here's why:-- The Kinivo doesn't require a battery, the Avantree does. Since both products will always need to have a lead coming from them, the battery power in the Avantree offers no advantage, and indeed is a possible problem if and when it dies. It also makes the Avantree bulkier.-- The Kinivo has a better, slimmer, more minimal design. It blends in with the car interior very discreetly. The Avantree is chubbier and less appealing.-- The Avantree has an on/off button that serves no apparent purpose other than to confuse matters.-- The Avantree apparently gives off voice prompts when pairing, etc. This would irritate me: I prefer the more subtle bleep of the Kinovo. Also, make sure you buy this model over the slightly cheaper Kinovo 450 as the 455 uses Bluetooth 4, which is less of a drain on your phone's battery.Everything works flawlessly with my iPhone 6, and does everything the manufacturers claim. By pressing and holding the button it's possible to summon Siri and ask it to 'Phone Fred Bloggs' - though this requires decent 3G connection. But that's no fault of the device. The hands-free phone isn't perfect quality, but neither is the built-in BT in my newer car. No-one who I've called has yet commented on it, let alone complained. What is a problem is that if you're listening to a play or documentary on your iPhone and someone says something like "And now, John Galsworthy's 'In ChanCERY' " the Kinovo will mistake that for SIRI, pause your listening and await instructions. In all fairness this has only happened twice. But for its main purpose - playing music and drama/audiobooks wirelessly from my iPhone - it's absolutely brilliant. If you don't have BT but do have an AUX-in socket for your car stereo, and are looking for an inexpensive wire-free audio/phone solution, buy one today.UPDATE OCTOBER 2015: Still going strong, excellent value for money.UPDATE MAY 2018: Still going strong, still love it !

Great when it works
I decided to try this out on my wife's Mazda 2 as I didn't want to go through the hassle of changing out the unit that came with the car. She has an iPod Touch for music and an iPhone for calls so I wanted multipoint support. At first this device seemed to work perfectly for both music and calls but we started to notice problems in that the device would not always power on when the car was started. I contacted the seller and I was told that this was a known issue with certain units but only on the multipoint model. Unfortunately this was the feature I needed so I decided to return the product. Despite that, I found that it worked great when it powered up so a great product only let down by the fault.
