I was really excited about it but...
I read some stuff on the net about the SEGA consoles from ATGames, reporting issues but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.Unfortunatley, the first dissapointment came as soon as I turned the console on. Advertising 81 games is indeed correct. What they don't mention is that only about half of those 81 games are actual SEGA Mega Drive 2 games...the rest are really basic games probably made by someone at ATGames as school project or something...Second, the sound is somewhat different...delayed? I can't really explain it but if you hear it you will feel it too.Regardless, I was actually having fun with it, playing some old cartridges and some of the 40 actual SEGA games... I got the nostalgic feeling (therefor the 2nd star...) but about a month after I got the console and having about 8-9 actual game sessions it just stopped working.I am positive it is not the adapter because when you hit the ON button the little light next to it blinks for a moment and that's it. I can't try to fix it because it is made in such a way that it cannot be opened without breaking it...I could accept that it does not work, if I was careless and had done something to break the game myself, but this is not the case this time...Worst thing is the 30 days return period already passed and I can't return it :(Such dissapointment...

Sega mega drive
Good but not as good as the Nintendo..Sega drive came with an American plug which was a pain as my 5 yr old wanted to play with it straight away and we had to source cable out to fit it

Not worth the money
Avoid! it's cheap and the controller's have no weight to them at all and most alarmingly it's not supplied with a UK plug (which I don't even think is legal?) and nowhere in the description does it state this. The games are 50/50, as has already been mentioned, some are very cheap "fan made" games. It also doesn't allow you to save progress (even games that have in game save slots!) Picturey is bad (might be able to improve this with better quality leads). All in all I will be returning this

great console
great console with lots of built in games some are original megadrive games.the console loads original cartridges well it seems to work lemmings better than megadrive 2 . The non sega built in firecore games are not quite up to segas standard but still playable.there are around 30 original saga games from 1990s. The at megadrive plays uk/eu pal mega drive cartridges usa ntsc genesis cartridges and japanese ntsc genesis games cartridges without a converter . This console is based on mega drive 3 it will not work with flash based cartridges like 112 in one. The action replay / game genie is not recognised or master system converter. overall its a good console with fun games worth the price for all 3 mortal kombat games, alex kidd and the golden axe trilogy alone.

It works but....
No HDMI out but not a problem, it still outputs to my HDTVs fine with the red/white/yellow cables. It plays actual Mega Drive cartridges with no issues (tested with Road Rash II) and has a decent selection of roms built in.The issues are that it seems to be struggling to play at 50fps (which the original Mega Drive played at in the UK) and the sound emulation is complete trash. So it's not bad, it definitely works, but it's still not a great product. Consider spending the money on an actual MegaDrive and converter blocks to connect it to a modern tv. You'll get a significantly better experience by spending out a little extra for this.

Avoid like the plague.....
I bought this for my son for Christmas and what a disappointment as the sound and the graphics are terrible, they are nothing close to the original. The graphics have poor colour saturation andwill give you a headache as it goes blurry plus sound is very slow and gets really annoying from the word go. Look at video reviews before buying would be my adviceAtGames need to sort this.......

Great console for younger children
My two 5 year old grandsons love it. Very easy to set up and connect to the TV with the included cables.
