Tefal Easy-Strain Aluminium Pan Set, Black, 16cm , 18cm & 20cm Saucepan + 24cm FryPan

These are very light, which is what I needed. But why the metal handles? They get hot! The pictures aren't clear & they look like the black heat resistant handles, it's not mentioned in the description either. The 'easy-drain' part I find very useful, but they are pretty small. I had Meyer pans previously & found their easy drain , better shaped & larger. I will make do with these, but I am disappointed. If you need a light-weight pan, as i do, then these are ok.

Very happy with the Easy strain pan set. The pans are light and heat really quick. I have had no problems with the handles on the pans getting hot. Yes the lids get hot and the handle on the lid will get hot but I always would use an oven glove to hold the lid anyway so I do not see this as a problem for me. Overall very happy with the pans.

Product looks ok the test will be how long they last.The reason for the low stars is the fact that the handles conduct the jest so if used for a long period of time get very and are dangerous.

I should have read the other reviews before purchasing. : (The pan handles get extremely hot and I very nearly burnt my hand as well as nearly scolding myself with the pan of boiling pasta I was about to drain.I, like others in their reviews, am shocked that a well known brand like Tefal would manufacture something like this which is clearly hazardous.

Nice set of saucepans but knob/handle on lids get hot

This product is highly dangerous and unfit for purpose. The metal handles conduct heat from the cooking which makes the pan hazardous to pickup. This has caused burns and blisters to hands and could cause more serious burns if the pan is dropped in panic of the intensity of heat from the handle. Serious design fault and shocking from a well known manufacturer such as Tefal.
