Better than the branded cover
My last stand alone mixer had an incorporated guard that fully covered the entire bowl with no gaps. When I got my Kitchen Aid, I ordered the guard as I didn’t want to have to go back to having icing sugar clouds in my kitchen. So I was rather dismayed that the official cover only covered half the bowl and the mixer easily chucks cake mix back out of the bowl.This guard is wayyyy better than the official KA one. I can’t give it full stars as it’s pretty annoying to use. When you lift back up after mixing (to scrape down the bowl or to add ingredients) the cover will go up with it but as there is nothing to clip it to the actual mixer (not the bowl) it will touch the top of your beaters and get dirty. Lowering the mixing paddle back in is a two hand job as you can’t left it just drop or it won’t go correctly over the bowl.It’s a way better alternative than having icing sugar or flour everywhere and definitely way better than the official KA guard but it’s still not perfect
