Great value
I had a contractor install this. Bought most of the supplies and was advises to go with the big orange shower boxes, but I wanted to give these a try first- since they are budget friendly. ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES. LOVE IT! Even though the boxes may not seem as "firm" and ridged as the orange box, my contractor has no issues installing or tiling them. Once the tile is up they are very sturdy and hold a lot of item. I love it. I have one more bathroom to remodel in my home and would buy again.

Worked great for my shower
I installed this while framing my bathroom.Super easy install and although it seemed a little flimsy on the back has been just fine for my stone install.

Float mortar over edge
This thing is a great bang for the dollar especially if you don’t want to make your own niche. It’s definitely a challenge tiling the inside of it that’s why I chose larger tiles. Installation is very easy if your semi-handy. The only thing to note is it installs AFTER your green board is up. Meaning the edge of the niche will rise about 1/8 of an inch off the wall so you’ll have to float the mortar to make the tile lay flat.

I had read reviews of people having trouble with the flexing of the niche in the back while putting pressure on it to apply the tiles.My contractor didn't seem to have any trouble so it may just be what people are comfortable working with.....like a learning curve maybe.Anywho I'm happy.

Measurement is the outside dimension, not the inside.
Once the tile was installed, the inside measurement was 11" high by 22" wide
