Very nice replacement for 30+ year old piece.
I wanted to refresh my baths and agonized over which type I could get, then which I wanted. A whole new set? Or just this part? I wish I just went with this early on. They are like the old ones--not plastic-y as many are now, and admittedly, I was charmed by the sun and snowflakes instead of "H" and "C". Compare the old and new one in my second photo. I also removed the knob and cleaned with an old toothbrush, which should be done every year or so. It all feels so much better now.

A perfect replacement for my old Moen escutcheon plate
This Moen plate is an exact fit for my 30+ year old Moen shower plate. The old plate cracked and was causing a leak in my first floor bathroom.The replacement plate easily fit into place and included the necessary foam bits to prevent leaks. Be careful when sliding the plate into place to ensure that the foam seals don't roll. You want to make a tight seal to prevent leaks.This plate does NOT include mounting screws. Save your old screws if you order this part.

Measure Twice! Does not fit all!
The product is fine but it is a one inch hole. I have a standard Moen shower handle just like this, but the hole is 1 3/8. I can't find measurements on any of these plates but rest assured, this one doesn't even come close to fitting. Measure first!

Getting to be hard to buy.
My plumber was excited to see this escutcheon plate as it is almost impossible to get these days. It goes with the non-positemp valve systems.

Perfect fit
The replacement part fit perfectly. The quality was good with no chipping or flaking of the chrome finish reported by some. I had to buy replacement stainless steel screws that were a bit longer than the original from a local specialty hardware store and those two Moen branded screws were expensive ($9 for pk of 2). Install was easy.

Perfect for my moen from the 70’s-80’s (I don’t even know, I just know it’s old lol). I just made sure that the screw pattern matched with my old one. Easy to replace!
