Zenport HJ245 Zenbori Nylon Scabbard, Sheath for Harvest Knives and Onion Shears, natural

I needed something durable and weather proof to go on the bottom of monopods I made for close up photography while hiking. This nicely goes over the sharp nails on the bottom of small monopods and the spearheads of the larger hiking stick/monopods I also made for this project.

I bought this knife scabbard to go with the K115 lettuce knife and it does not fit the knife. It says its compatibale put the knife sticks out the bottom on the scabbard leaving it super dangerous for cutting yourself and also cuts through the stitching on the scabbard.

I ordered the Zensport nylon sheath to holster my newly purchased A.M. Leonard soil knife. I sharpened the soil knife just enough to make it usable for harvesting greens, but not so sharp as to be dangerous. I gave the sheath 4 stars because although the opening is very reenforced with extra nylon, I'm not sure it will last as well as leather. The soil knife fits nice and snug and when I insert it face down does not seem to be putting much strain on the point of entry. Time will tell.

I got this for my Zenport K245 and it fits perfect. I use the blade for metal detecting and everything works great. I only wish the pouch had an opening of sorts or holes at the bottom because all of the dirt and grime stays inside and subsequently needs to be rinsed out. You can hear the knife grinding on it when inserted and removed, so it will eventually put extra wear & tear on the knife.

Fist my K245 perfect. I gave it 5 stars in relation to the very reasonable price along with perfect fit and decent quality.

Seem well made, good price for something I wouldn’t be able to find anywhere except online.

Would give 5 stars if it was leather but still a great value for my money.

Heavy nylon, keeps the kids away from the blade, and stores the blade away from water. Needed nothing more from it.
