Q: Is this waterproof even when submerged?

Yes at least initially, I’ve been submerged ( for about 10 mins( the bag not me)) along with my bag and all the contents were fully dry afterward.

Q: Is the 70litre too big for Ryan air 10kg carry on allowance?

Yes the 70L is too big the dimensions are listed as 58cm x 30cm x36cm - the Ryanair size limit for 10kg is 55cm x 40cm x 20cm . Even rolled down the length is too long and cannot be reduced

Q: Would this be ok for a safari?

Hi - I use it on the back of my motorbike when I go camping and it’s really durable/totally waterproof and also easy to carry when off the bike. I’m sure it would be ok for safari depending on your needs and preferences - i find it is a good size and can carry plenty but also roll up fairly neat if only half full. The only thing I would say tho is If it’s going to be hot the black plastic/ rubbery feel might be a bit hot or uncomfortable against skin or thin clothes if you’re carrying it for a long time (?) I recall there’s a few other colours but if all else ok I would highly recommend it..
