Does the job but its painfully slow
Manual grinderDoes the job but slowly.I think this is good in a pinch, or maybe an Airbnb/cabin kinda vibe.It looks cool but the grinder has already started digging into the wood at the top where the handle rotates, and I’ve only used it 3 times. It takes a few minutes or grinding to get an espresso shot and if you want it finely to ground then add a few more minutes. For this reason, I couldn’t see myself relying on this for daily use. It’s a good product 4/5Taking 1 star because of not using it all the time. But lose another star for being kind of pricy on top of it. 3/5

Perfect for regular coffee drinker.
Lately, I have become weary of these Kcups. They are expensive and we recently tried another kcup that requires us to use a special ring in the Keurig. Last weekend we went camping and I took some previously ground coffee and made it in the old-timer kettle over a fire. It was superb. I loved the smell of coffee in the bag and decided to try coffee beans again. Costco sells the beans but during Covid, I remembered the machines may have been shut down for a bit. I ran across this little device and am glad I did. I ordered and it arrived promptly. Today I bought some bean coffee and loved the price compared to Kcups. Where I live maybe 1/2 the price. The package arrived in sturdy packaging. I LOVED the directions. Large font and includes pictures, Bravo. Just made my first cup and am impressed. I filled the beans in and placed it into the device. I ground some coffee for tomorrow morning and to get a feel for it and a couple of things. It takes about 1.5-2 minutes to grind a complete fill. I wasn't trying to race so, of course, could do quicker but that's about what I averaged. One fill of beans looks like it is going to fill a kcup filter that is designed for this purpose. I had originally held the grinder with my hand around the top and bottom thinking incorrectly that it might come apart and spill coffee everywhere. I realized after a few minutes that the seal is pretty tight and I did not need to hold them together. The seal holds the pieces together just fine. It seems to be of good quality and spins freely. I think this was perfect for our needs.

Very attractive grinder for small pot
This portable grinder is very pretty and the scoop that comes with it is adorable as well as practical. Using regular whole beans from the grocery store, I was able to fit two scoops into the grinder, The actual operation of the unit is as simple as turning the handle. And turning. And turning. It takes about a minute or two, depending how energetic you are with your grinding, which is quite a bit longer than the electric type that would pulse down two little scoops of beans in a few seconds. But the resulting ground coffee is uniform in texture and yields about 2 TBSP, which is exactly enough to make one cup, which I did using a pour over dripper. Tasted great! Would I want to do this every day or for a big pot? No. But it's good for when you don't have other options, like electricity. And it looks cool. Personally, given that it's wood, I don't plan on washing it other than using the brush provided. Given that, I won't use it for other dried spices, etc. because I don't want my coffee tasting like basil, but I see no reason it wouldn't work well for anything that you can generally use a coffee grinder for. Overall, I'm putting this grinder in the same category as my wine and cheese picnic backpack. I may not actually use it as much as I think I will, but I would like to aspire to the lifestyle in which I am traveling in the wilderness and whip out my portable grinder for a perfect cup of coffee made over a campfire.

Small but useful, looks great!
This is a small wooden grinder, mainly designed for whole bean coffee but it probably works for other things too. It's only big enough to grind one or two cups worth at a time, but it does the job well as long as you don't overload it.This grinder looks great, and works fast enough that you can quickly prepare enough grounds for a whole pot if you fill it 3 times. The action of grinding feels a little fragile, almost like it might break if there is too much resistance. So far it's fine, and having freshly ground beans is really the best way to enjoy coffee.I definitely recommend this product for anyone who wants a smaller serving of fresh coffee.

Grinds up the beans well enough, fun to use
This coffee grinder is really cool and pretty simple to use. It doesn’t take up much space in my kitchen (I have a coffee area where I keep it on a shelf). The cleanup isn’t so bad, I mostly just rinse it out with soapy water and then regular water, then towel dry it. I haven’t tried it in the dishwasher, but I wouldn’t recommend it, I would just stick to hand washing it to be safe. The grinds are good, only a couple times I catch a larger-than-average piece in there, but it definitely works well. If you’re a coffee drinker and you like to make your coffee yourself, grinds and all, I’d recommend this!
