I purchased this after trying 4 other cables that claim to do the same thing, as I wanted to connect a digital piano to my iOS device and get midi playback. Other cables and adapters would connect initially but during playback would disconnect intermittently and there was often popping and cracking when many notes were played together. These issues were not present when using this cable, this cable has worked flawlessly and the connection has remained stable. I never appreciated cables could be so different. It’s not cheap compared to some others but there is evidently a sound reason for the higher price as it actually works and overall is good value if you need a reliable connection. Only minor niggle is I wish it was available in black and in a shorter length.

Bought to replace an old connection for a Roland piano to ipad for use with Playground Sessions. The app cannot recognise the piano while using this cord.

It is quick expensive as it is only 5 ft long, but it did the job.
