hi does this need screwing into the ceiling and can it go at an angle ie on the side of a beam need something i can take down easily after my party.

It shouldn't go at an angle. The motor should be square to the ceiling or the plastic gears will wear. I made a small painted wooden plate up to which I screwed the motor. The plate was designed to be in the correct plane when screwed to , in my case, a window lintel and could be quickly and easily unscrewed after use. The reality is that it has stayed in place for occasional use

Does it come a standard UK plug?

No you wire into the mains,i have one in my Bar and put it in place of ceiling light fitting so controlled by light switch.

hi is this a plug in motor and do you have to screw it into the ceiling? im after something I can take down easily after a party.

It is a plug in motor and you do have to screw it into the ceiling. Purchased for motor rather than as a mirror ball.

Can this replace a nomal light fitting??

hi it can be installed onto the wiring of an existing light fitting (the motor will then rotate the mirror ball when switched on by existing light switch BUT the mirror ball motor has no light built in to it. I used a plug in spot light to shine at the ball!!

Great but not low noise

Not sure I’d agree with low noise but they work great and are the perfect speed for a small mirror ball

Beware gets red hot

Works ok but for such a low wattage item I was not expecting the rotating spindle to become red hot after just a few minutes use. Could be a fire hazard if attached to any flammable decorations.
