Kayak Paddle Clip with Hardware - Deck Mounted Universal Kayak Paddle Clip & Fishing Net Clip Kayaks

Just installed this clip on my new Pakayak kayak and it is working perfectly! Used a 3/8 inch drill bit which made the perfect size holes for the rubber anchors. They slid in, but were still nice and tight for a solid connection on all sides. You do not, I repeat, do not need to have under deck access to secure these as another reviewer has said. The rubber anchors have built in threads that your bolt goes into. As you tighten the bolt the rubber anchors smoosh up and give you a nice tight seal around the holes you have drilled. The clip is held in place very securely and I have no trouble snapping my paddle into or taking the paddle out of the clip. I mentioned that this has been installed on my Pakayak kayak. This is a kayak that you take apart and each piece rests inside another like a Russian nesting doll so that it is only 3 1/2 feet high that you zip into a bag and wheel away. The place I installed this clip does not interfere with the pieces resting together at all. I could not be happier with this product right now.

Seem to work well. It installed easily. I suggest you watch the install video. Also, play with how you want the paddle to lay against the kayak for where to mount it. I drilled a small pilot hole and then went up to 3/8. The nut fit snug. I have been out 5-6 times and haven’t had to re-tighten them.The only issue I have is that I have several paddles and my favorite paddle has a smaller diameter shaft. It doesn’t fit as snug as I would like.Overall a good purchase. Works as advertised.

Easy to install, inexpensive, but be careful. We didn't abuse this much, but contact with another yak in storage (not like falling against it, the boat just shifted and they are light WM intro models) shattered it. Our fault, but would have been nice if it would have stood up a bit better. Still would buy again with awareness

This paddle keeper works great. I bought it for my Pelican Bandit NXT 100 and I love it. I was really nervous about drilling into my kayak so I started small and worked my way up to a 3/8 drill bit. If the holes are still snug, use some Vaseline to push the rubber part through. Don't make the hole bigger! Definitely make sure you know exactly where you want to keep your paddle. I would sit in your kayak and play around with different spots before you drill into your kayak.There is a video on Youtube if you search for paddle keeper installation Essential Marine Products. It'll help you with the installation. I'm pretty sure all the 1 and 2-star reviews are because of improper installation. This thing is awesome!

Bought my son a Lifetime Wave youth kayak. Saw YouTube video where a dad installed a different brand paddle clip on the kayak. This was a bit cheaper with good reviews so I went with this one instead. You will need to use a 3/8" drill bit. I started smaller just in case but ended up needing the same 3/8" as the YouTube dad. Just FYI, you will need to mark the holes cause you can't drill through the holes in the clip itself; they are smaller than 3/8". I like shortcuts and I tried that... Still winter so haven't gotten it out on the water yet but the clip seems sturdy enough.

Amazon delivered... I grabbed my drill and 3/8" drill bit, a sharpie and my paddles and had the clips properly placed, marked and installed in 10 minutes. I have a Malibu Two Ocean Kayak and had to place them on the outer edge of the hull instead of the upper edge due to the boats hull design (arched) which prevents the paddle from resting in the clip on the upper edge. Mounted one clip towards the front on the left side and one towards the rear on the right side. Both paddles in place and ready to hold paddles while carrying the boat or for a tandem boat ride on the water.The rubber insert is threaded and when the clip and screw are in place and tightened it causes the back side of the insert to mushroom in place larger than the hole drilled. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EXPECTING REGULAR SCREWS TO HOLD THE CLIP IN PLACE... 3/8" ALUMINUM POP RIVETS MIGHT THO.

Super easy to install. I have bought a number of these for different kayaks.They work perfectly. Just determine beforehand where you want the paddle to sit and whether you want it on the left side or right side...……...or perhaps buy two, one for each side. Put the paddle in the holder and set it on the kayak. Pull the paddle out of the holder, mark the wholes and presto...……...you're done.Goes without saying but keep it above the water line.I say this only because I've seen others make that simple mistake.
