It doesn't come with battery as described...apparently the logistics company won't handle batteries.

So Disappointed!Did not detect the wood posts/supports behind the partition stud wall in my room. I called my brother in law who's always busy but needed a 2nd opinion on this Suaoki he said it seemed very much miss that hit!So he grabbed his stud detector and passed it over my Partition stud wall and it found the supports behind the Stud wall and also metal too. There are no cables behind there..... so it seemed to work for that... but for £39.99 it also does not give you an idea of the width or thickness of the wood supports behind the partition wall.It will be going back as it just did not do the job I wanted it to do. I may as well drill through the Stud Wall and hope for the best as this item was no help at all whatsoever!

Doesn’t come with battery as stated. Finds wood and metal ok. However as soon as I put it in cable mode and move within 30cm of any wall it goes mental flashing and beeping to say it’s detected something. As this is why I got it, it really isn’t helpful. Disappointed

Bought this after returning a Folai one to Amazon as it was so unreliable I.e. Would not repeat a previously found stud. I looked at all the reviews and all seem to have a 60% or so success rate picked this Suaoki and it is totally reliable giving repeated results. Finding electrical cables can be a little difficult with plasterboard giving low charge indications. Lifting off the wall about 5mm and watching the strength of signal seems to be quite good.Overall this is a great detector

Strange one this. Works ok when first turned on but if you change to say wood detection things go down hill fast. Only seems to work if you hold down the zoom button. If you then go back to metal it locks up with red lamp & and alarm on constantly. It can be recalibrated by pressing two of the buttons but which two buttons? I would need keep the instructions with the unit. Found it easier to turn it off then on so it auto calibrated. My example may be faulty. On the plus side the live cable detection works over a impressive range.

I had some decorating and electric work to be done recently, with this great tool i dont have to worry about if I drilled into the wrong position to break the electricity wiring and if the long screw i was going to drill into the stud for my 50inch TV. the sensor is sensitive and correct detection.

Detected ac power cables and copper pipework, unfortunately I was unable to detect the wooden studs under 12 mm of plaster using this detector as this was the primary intended use I returned for a refund.
