2012 KMS New Medium Wall Mounted Electric Fire Place Fireplace Heater with Black Curved Glass Screen Plasma Style 1800W MAX

This would be fine if placed flush against a wall! Unfortunately the engineer taking away our old gas fire, put this item at the recommended height above the marble slab of our Adam style fire surround, and the curved underside of the mantelpiece is not very far above the output vents on the top of the fire. This means that although the fire operates OK at the low setting just making that "underside" slightly warm - at the high setting the "underside" gets worryingly hot after about 1/2 an hour. Another point I didn't like is that the fan noise is quite noticeable. Our dog was quite disappointed to find that despite the good pseudo-flame display - there was no radiant heat to stretch out in front of on the mat in front! Am seriously thinking of getting an old-fashioned 2-bar radiant electric fire to place in front of the newly installed item - we would all prefer a bit of silent radiant heat - blow the fancy flame display!

We have oil central heating and no backup if the boiler fails, so this fire is the backup. Apart from that, it looks so smart and we have never had the heating part on yet, hope we dont have to, but the 'flames' are amazing, they look so real. On a dull grey wet winter morning, despite the heating being on, the flame makes the room look warm as well as it feeling warm. In fact I found myself standing with my back to it the other like I used to in front of mum's coal fire - my friend did the same when she came too. Very realistic, very smart, well made and delivered well packed before time. Easy to fit on the wall and even my husband admitted I was right - when I first mentioned buying one he wasnt very keen. Guess I got some brownie points with this purchase.

Really pleased with the look and design of this wall-mounted fire. Two drawbacks though are: the fire is not flush with the wall; it juts out approximately 4" from the wall. The second drawback being that the fan which creates the flame effect is rather noisy and, at times, distracting! We disabled the heater part of the fire as it's wall-mounted below our television, so the fire really is for visual effect only.

So far, I am Very pleased with this heater, which was delivered promptly, and in good order.Previous reviewers commented on the noise from the heater when in Heat mode, but I have not found it particularly noisy, and only ever notice it late at night when there is little or no other noise in the room.I bought this heater to cover the space occupied by a previously installed Back Boiler,and room heater, Central Heating system, so I doubt if I will use the actual heater function much anyway, but the "Flame effect" will be used frequently, and looks good, and certainly gives the room a "warmer" appearance on a chilly night.

I love this fire. Just out it up today. The fan makes a bit of noise when the heat is on, but no more than a gas fire would. The flames look realistic. I have it 40cm from the floor and not the 60 which is recommended. The flame effects are lovely! I also receivedExcellent and prompt customer service from the company when I realised I had ordered the incorrect size of fire, and wanted to change it. It was all resolved immediately, and sent out to meStraight away. In short, excellent value, lovely fire, and excellent customer services!

I bought this fire six months ago, and the light in the fire stopped working, I opened up the fire expecting you could just replace the bulb, but that is almost impossible it is secured to the back, and you can see the two bulbs, and from my inspection one of the bulbs has melted.I tried to,contact the seller, as its under a year old, they do not except incoming emails.....! The company is TOOL GENIUS LTD, I am disgusted with the treatment I have received, and Amazon hasn't helped me either.I will think very carefully, before I buy anything else, like this, as you have NO CHANCE OF RETURNING A FAULTY PRODUCT.

Easy to install and great value for moneyOnly complaint is that the remote control is a bit useless and you have to be so close that you can reach the buttons anyway!Other than that, the fan isn't too noisy and it gives off a good heat!
