This was the perfect piece for the corner next to my vanity table. It was the right size with the right amount of storage for me. However, I did modify it a bit. I added wood hobby trim around the edges and the cabinet doors, as well as some appliques and different handles. I also painted the back board. Pros: it is sturdy. The doors work well and magnetize to stay shut. There is plenty of storage space with this. It works great to hold my hair care items jewelry boxes. I love that I can choose to display on part of it and hide away the messier items on the bottom. It was also very easy to put together. Cons: For the life of me, I cannot figure out why the bottoms of the shelves were unfinished. I ended up painting the bottoms on mine because I didn't want the unfinished part showing. I also wasn't a fan of plastic shelf clips. I would not dare to put anything very heavy or very valuable on these shelves without switching them out for sturdier clips. But for my usage, the plastic will be just fine. All in all, a great buy if you happen to catch it on sale. A good affordable shelf option.

Great book case. Easy to assemble, but has some weight to it. I would recommend this. Very happy with this purchase.

I ordered 2 of these to help furnish my living room in my new apartment (along with several other items by Furinno as well). When I went to assemble them many of the screw holes stripped out on them when I went to tighten the screws by hand (I ended up using some longer/larger screws that I had on hand, but unfortunately those weren't countersunk head screws so the shiny steel heads are clearly visible), additionally several of the panels were badly scratched or scuffed up on the faces and edges. Add to that the use of the cheapest possible cam lock fasteners they could probably get (a couple of which broke when tightening by hand (there's only 4 in each unit), fortunately I had some on hand from other furniture that I was able to use), they didn't come with any textured stickers to cover the screws that didn't strip out on me. The edge banding on the panels is horrendous looking like they used a slightly undersized banding which leaves a sliver of the particle board material visible along the edges (might be able to hide it using a black marker since I purchased the black bookcases). The back panel on one of them was damaged and lightly cracked as a result too. Had a little trouble with the screw holes for the hinge brackets too on one of them, the hole was just a little further from the edge than it should have been so that when I went to put the hinge pin bracket on it didn't quite line up centered on the hole in the bracket, I had to start the screw through the bracket without having the bracket all the way into position so that the screw would end up pulling the bracket tightly onto the corner of the door panel. It's also worth noting that the units don't come with any kind of 'feet' to protect your floor from scratches when moving them. All in all while I'm quite pleased with the other Furinno products I've purchased (a Jaya TV stand, and 2 Jaya end tables), these are garbage in my opinion. If it weren't for the fact that the other brand of bookcase I had been looking at sold out by the time I was ready to submit my order I probably wouldn't have had to deal with the problems I had with these. Do yourself a favor and look for a different set instead of buying these. Not worth the problems even if they are inexpensive.

Easy to assemble and size as described. Exactly what I hoped for.

Difficult to assemble. You need your own tools. Some of the boards were damaged. Manufacturing defects, not a shipping problem. A dent in the top front shelf. Broken plastic hinges. Backing coming off boards. I tried contacting the company directly to get replacements parts. I got the run around. Kept asking for part id numbers which the product did not have. Even sent pics. It was already a HEAVY product, too difficult to return. Weighs like 70lbs. I would NOT recommend, or buy from again. I'm, not going to try to return through Amazon either. shelf was assembled by them. Just looks like damaged crap!

The bookshelf fit exactly where I expected it to. Assembly was simple. I have 2 pieces that arrived broken - 1 screw head was not good and 1 door magnet was scattered in the package. I assembled it with the broken screw just hand tightened enough to hold things together and then reached out to customer service to ask about replacement parts. I received an email response in about a day or two saying the parts would be sent to me and should arrive in 5-7 business days. Originally, I had said I did not receive the replacement parts but apparently the office staff that took delivery lost it for a few weeks. Highly recommend the product and the company.

The underside of every shelf is bare partical board. All of my other cheapo shelves are covered on top and bottom. The bottom edge has the edge veneer wrapped under it for a few inches from the front only, so the bottom is not level. The rear plastic feet hammer into the bare edge, but the front feet are raised by the veneer thickness so it leans a little. There is a similar flaw on the back. Not crucial, but the rear cardboard sheet doesn't attach 100% flat because there is a couple inches of veneer near the top. The short baseboard cover on the bottom front was warped. All of these things have a rear stabilizer sheet which is folded to fit in the box. This one is actually 3 separate cuts, connected back together with a strip of clear packing tape. One section was not joined carefully and has a loose gap you can see through. The main assembly screws are a light brassy color rather than stainless, the holes in the wood are not counter-sunk, and there are no plastic caps. So you have a bunch of screws on the sides which are more visible than on similar products. Everything about this is extra low quality.
