Soundsulate™ 1/2 lb Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) Soundproofing, Noise Barrier (4' x 25' (100 sf))

Works as described. A little difficult to work with, but mangeable.

It unrolls mostly flat, even in a cold attic. NO heavy oder to vent out. It smooths a plywood floor nicely. I bought 1 roll, then 2 more. My attic/shop does not migrate sound from below.

The 1/2 lb has a 20dB reduction which is significant. We combined it with resilient channel and a double wall of drywall and some additional insulation to increase the reduction of noise between condo units.

I liked that it was MLV, and weighed about 1/2 lb. per square foot (my 100 square foot package weighed 54 lbs.). I disliked that it had a dirty / dusty coating on both sides of the MLV. I disliked that my self-sticking acoustical tiles would not adhere to it.

Half-pound MLV seems harder to find than 1lb, especially locally. This a high quality, real deal MLV & is working perfectly for making tuned resonant bass traps.
