Was as good as I could've hoped for. If there is and down side it would be the slight difficulty putting it in the plastic clips to hang it. I was up on a ladder so it was a little schecky. Broke a couple trying to get it in. But there was extra for what I needed.

The product was very well packaged. Everything works (batteries for controller are tucked in the center of the spool with the clips). These lights work great! The rope is a rope, I can't see individual led lights in the rope which I was hoping I wouldn't. For my application the dimmest setting is perfect! The strobe effects on bright settings may give you a headache or a seizure so beware of that.

Overall happy with this. It installs easily, and the color is a pleasing off-white. We bought it to use to illuminate an outdoor garden area and it was a bit too bright for that, so we'll have to find another use. The only thing I wish it had was an outlet on the other end so you could plug another light strip into it.

The color is amazing. It matches my other blue RGB lights. I highly recommend this lights! I might be buying another one in the future for my bookshelf.

We used this in the 'Dog's Majal'......that is a dog house built on a small trailer frame that is big enough for a dog door, a walk in door, two huge dog beds and a food / heated water bowl station. Yeah -- we went nuts on this one.Anyway -- about the light...... It gives off just the right amount of light without being harsh. We wanted light that was soft -- not the bright 'in your face' light.So this was perfect -- big enough to span most of the back wall. It was easy to install and it worked all winter with no trouble at all. We worried about installing a light that could be bumped into or broken. Once we deciced on this rope light , we no longer had that worry.If you're thinking we spoiled our dogs, well - they weren't always our dogs. Our neighbors moved and weren't going to take them. Since we already knew the dogs, we couldn't let them be put down which was their plan if we didn't take them. Sooooo -- yeah we spoil these sweet mutts who are deserving of being protected and loved.

I ordered this to go behind our television after seeing something similar on social media. In my case, the living room is fairly dark at all times of day because of the design of the house. The natural light that comes in is ok but not diffused well and the overhead lights, even on the lowest setting are too bright to comfortably watch TV. Previously we had some table lamps set up on speakers next to the TV but that didn't quite do what we wanted either. Enter LED light strip.This was absolutely the perfect solution to get some ambient/backlight without flooding the entire room in bright light. It's perfect for movie nights and does not detract from viewing at all. The light reflected off the wall is more than sufficient for most tasks (including reading) but not so harsh that it's annoying.Ultimately, I did end up using the included clips, but without the included screws. I stuck some 3M double sided tape around the perimeter of the TV and down the sides of the TV stand. This was just about the right length to do that with a 55" TV. I adhered the clips to the tape in key positions and then carefully stuck the other parts of the strip to the tape as well. I was a little concerned that the heat would cause the adhesive to detach but it has not and it's been over a month.This strip does get a little warm and it gives off a little bit of a plasticky smell, however, I have noticed that this is dissipating with use.Overall, I'm really impressed with this light strip. It was exactly what I was looking for and I will most likely pick up another one.

The product comes with a remote control that uses infrared technology. The remote is super thin and flimsy and ceased to work in a few weeks. I changed the battery and that did not solve the problem. I then detached the transformer/controller unit and replaced it with the non-controlled plug that comes with the product. That task had no instructions and there was no warning that the connection was superglued together, so I had a very tough time stripping the old unit off. I finally got the non-controlled unit on and low and behold the light turned on - almost. The light went on for about 7 feet and no farther. I wiggled the light right at the point of darkness and it flashed along the whole length once. Then never more. This is great technology poorly executed.
