As in the alertness etc** A: This product is caffeine-free, so it doesn’t have the same stimulatory effect as coffee. **Q: Is this 100% caffeine free?** A: Yes it is, it is used by people who like myself can not drink coffee or decaf coffee but miss coffee as for reflux even decaf coffee can not be drunken so this is caffeine free so is safe for people like myself.the caffeine has not be removed like decaf coffee, with bioforce, the caffeine was never in it in the first place. **Q: Excuse my ignorance, but what does it actually taste like? Thanks** A: Hi Emilia, it has a mild malty nutty taste with a hint of instant coffee flavour, it actually is surprisingly pleasant, comforting and you can drink it anytime but I prefer to have it in the evenings. I still drink a coffee or 2 in the mornings but am trying to give this up as it is acidic for my system wheras Bambu is not. Hope this helps. **Q: Is this product Acid free?** A: I have no idea if it is acid free but I am a person that cannot tolerate acidic food and I have used this for years without any problems ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Coffee Alternative *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 August 2026* This is by far the best instant Chicory I have tried. I really enjoy drinking coffee, but have been trying to cut down. The A Vogel Bambu is flavourful and rich. It dissolves easily and doesn't leave residue at the bottom of your cup. I have actually on occasion forgotten that it's not instant coffee. This is now a staple in my house, and at the price, it's good value for money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A lovely alternative to coffee, lovely flavour. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 17 October 2026* I wanted a different drink to coffee and gave this a try. It has a lovely mellow flavour but can vary the strength to suit your taste. I don't usually have sugar in my drinks, but added honey. A lovely alternative to coffee. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice tasting followed by stomach upset. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 16 October 2026* Tastes very nice and you dont need a lot to make a decent tasting coffee alternative. However I was surprised to discover that it contains ACORNS which are not normally for human consumption although to be fair acorns are only 1%. The next day I had a stomach upset which may or may not have been from this product that includes acorns and figs although my poo was the colour of figs and acorns as well as being runny which it never usually is. I thin it is good value for money as long as it suits your digestion, not so sure that it suits mine ! ## Frequently Bought Together - A.Vogel Bambu Fruit & Grain Coffee Substitute | Caffeine-free | Organically Grown Natural Ingredients | 65 Servings | 100g - Barleycup Instant Grain Beverage 100g.
