An excellent little travel rod that holds its own against carp in the mid teens. Have used it for a variety of fishing methods and it is a good all rounder. I damaged one of the sections and contacted the seller who replaced the section without any hassle. Not only a great rod, great service that comes with it too.

The product is great and sales service is excellent,I phoned because I thought a section was missing I was immediately offered a replacement section to be posted the next day,however it had fallen out whilst unpacking and I was sitting on it.

So i bought this because I want to take up fishing and saw it had good reviews and was from a uk company. Not used it yet. it seems high quality from what I can tell, but I'm new to this. There is a pretty big scratch or what I think is a scratch on one of the poles though which shouldn't affect use. Will update after I've used it.* update used the rod and found it light and very easy to use. I was also sent a replacement peice by the seller. Good service. People and product

Don't normally do this but must review even before using this travel rod. Excellent packing and fast delivery. Truly excellent hard case only 48cm long with zipper closing and each rod section has its own pocket section within the all in one roll-up compartment packaging.The rod fitted together very well and securely with the usual push fitting and the reel seat is a very easy screw operation. This ensured the reel fitted securely to the handle. The ring eyes are excellent and very smooth.I purchased this rod as I did not want a telescopic one. I wanted push fittings as have always believed this to be preferable.I am a fair weather angler now in my advancing years so will have to wait for the rain to stop and the sun to shine before putting my new toy to the test.

A great travel rod...looks & feels great

You have to buy this rod.It’s really nice to use and small in a rucksack while protected in its case.When using through no fault of the rod the top half fell in the sea and floated off. I contacted Rigged and Ready asking if I could buy new sections. They refused payment but sent me free of charge all the sections and another two on top. Then looking in the package I found two lures as well!I cannot recommend the rod or company highly enough.Buy this rod!

I'm not a pro but a beginner. This rod is flimsy and I would assume will snap with ease. Didn't use it and sent it back because of the cost. Was expecting something a bit more rigorous but it has to be lightweight to travel with. What do I know??

Busco una caña portátil para meter en el maletero del coche. Lo he probado con el punto más corto para spinning y va muy bien. No he conseguido sacar nada con la caña todavía pero da sensación de calidad. Creo que esta bien por el precio, voy a probar la versión más largo para pesca carpas con flotador, seguro que no defraudará.

Good quality and delivery.

This is really great rod. I brought it with me to Hawaii and was easily able to store the tube inside my carry-on luggage (Ebags TLS Mother Lode). It is a moderate/medium action rod with medium power. I was able to really bomb 3/8oz sinkers as well as casting bubbles whipping for Papio (trevally) and other fish.The rod is a bit forward-heavy so adding counterweights might not be a bad idea. I paired it with a Daiwa Fuego LT 3000 and it cast like a dream - I could get super far casts on it and the split grip makes it easy to grab for extra leverage. I found that I had to hold the rod higher up (above the grip) at times since I would get fatigued after a while with it being so forward-heavy. I figure that's a trade-off with multi-section rods though.One minor issue/concern with the QC - the first rod I received had a guide tip where some of the metal was bent out of shape, and a few of the guides were bent out as well. I immediately packed it up and sent it back for an exchange. The replacement rod was much better but I noticed the guides weren't 100% centered. More attention/detail could be put into the guide wrapping job on these. It also would be nice if there were a hook-keeper. The ferrules and joints of some of the section would come loose and twist around after prolonged periods casting. Several times the tip flew off but fortunately I never lost it. I wasn't sure what to expect with this rod but it's a really nice pack rod for travel and packs down more compact than any other rod I've seen. I do wish they had one in the same length (or even longer) that was slightly lighter maybe like an ML. This is a great all-around rod though.EDIT: I just realized this rod actually measures right around 8'6 - so it's actually longer than advertised lol.EDIT #2 (11/4/2020): Since writing/updating this review, I noticed that there were additional pieces/tips added to this rod so out of curiosity on how I could purchase the additional tips I emailed the company and got in touch with the owner, Andy. Andy was kind enough to send a couple tips out to me on his own dime! I just got them today and am excited to give them a shot (I fish the surf in SoCal primarily). With the heavier/shorter tip I plan to bait and wait with 2-4oz pyramid sinkers and hi-lo rig for the rockier areas/beaches. The lighter tip I'm curious to try c-rigging with grubs/Gulp Camo Sandworms but also fishing jerkbaits and dropshotting even. I am compelled to upgrade this review to 5 stars due to the outstanding customer service. And I'm already planning on buying the X5 Max sometime in the near future. Thanks Andy!
