I was diagnosed with severe scoliosis at a young age. I had my 1st spinal correction surgery at age 13. I had 3 curves in my spine and it was literally shaped like a question mark with the largest curve being 56 degrees. Doctors completely fused my thoracic spine by placing stainless steel rods on each side of my spine (Harrington Rods). They also placed hinges in 2 places between the rods. As I have gotten older I have developed degenerative disk disease and my lumbar spine was then fused with titanium rods. I also had surgery on my left sacral illiac joint which was fused with titanium rods. At this point 70% of my spine was fused. Over time the degenerative disk disease has gotten much worse and I now have 4 bulging disks in the spaces between the fusion and I'm in a lot of pain. I've been struggling to maintain some type normalcy in my life. I couldn't do the things I needed to do or liked to do. I couldn't go grocery shopping, sweep my floors or walk my dogs. I bought this SI belt and also a thoracic back brace about a couple of weeks ago and it has been very helpful. I am still in a lot of pain but these products have helped me get back to living. This belt is very comfortable and well made with excellent materials. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs some extra support to their lumbar/sacral illiac joints. This belt is amazing. I had a double spinal fusion and was left with severe hip pain. I’ve had multiple treatments and am still in pain. After seeing a neurosurgeon and his physical therapist they suggested wearing this belt. What a difference standing, shopping and walking with this on. Now it doesn’t cure it but does relieve a lot of the pain I would have had otherwise.

This has helped me tremendously with my sciatic or back pain. I like the slim design so it doesn't restrict you. Although if I had to complain about it. after about a month of wearing it and bending over and such the top the velcro that goes over the bottom should probably be a little bit narrower because it starts to roll on the outside edges, then it doesn't hide under your clothes anymore other than that.I do like it. I don't think it's going to last very long because of that rolling. And the constant Taking it off, just to use the restroom. The valcrow is going to wear out pretty quickly. But overall, this is a quick fix. Fairly inexpensive, and it seems to be helping.

I finally found something that helps with my lower back pain due to lower belly-hang. For me it was immediate relief! After buying and trying belts, girdles, panty/girdles, surgery belts and what have you, for the first time in years I have relief from my lower back pain. I'm amazed and so happy! As I've gotten older, (69), and due some to lack of activity after having to leave my job due to disability, I started getting some lower belly-hang that was pulling on my lower back. I have hurt for so many years that it has caused me to be even more inactive, and has sent me to doctor after doctor for some suggestions and relief. I can't believe no one suggested a medical belt or something like this. This belt, that I found while searching Amazon once again for something to try, had some good reviews for a few other people suffering from what I thought was the same as myself and I thought what the heck, I'll spend the money and at least try it. I was getting desperate for some relief and ordered it. When it came I was skeptical, but after putting it on and adjusting it a little, oh my gosh! I was able to stand up straighter....no back pain! It hits just the right spot holding up my belly, and I can't say enough about the ability to stand without pain in my back! When your back hurts, it robs you of your normal quality of life. I couldn't exercise as I wanted to try to strengthen my tummy muscles, and in fact I didn't feel like doing anything physical. I haven't even had a good night's sleep in years, so I'm eternally tired. Now that I have this support belt, I'm looking forward to taking walks to start moving around again and maybe start exercising some on some stationary bikes at my clubhouse. And(!), I look forward to cleaning my house like I used to, though I have to ease into that. I've had to hire help for that, and that gets expensive! Just the thought that I can stand longer at my kitchen sink to do dishes, or bake, do laundry, make my bed....it's the best I have felt physically and mentally in a long, long time. This will not help everyone, I understand that. But it is helping me. Immensely. You can't believe what a life changer this is going to be. Ok, now to facts of the order and product. I ordered the XL-XXL belt in black, mainly to make sure I had some "playroom" to adjust if needed. I was afraid of ordering too small and having to return it for a larger size, but this works for me. I might have gotten away with the next size smaller, but for my hips, (46"), I went for the size recommended. When I took it out of the package there is an odor, but I think it's a rubber smell. Stinky, but I think that will go away after wearing it and airing it out some. I wrapped the belt from behind to my front, made sure my belly was supported correctly, and used the main velcro to secure it. (Easy!) Then took the attached side velcro straps to tighten it a little. I'll have to find my perfect tension but I was happy right away. It fit well, and seems very well sewn together. It's not flimsy. It's sturdy. The belt also shipped pretty fast, I think I had it about 4-5 days after ordering. I know this belt will not be for everyone, but for me it is such a winner! Sorry for the long review, but for the first time in years I feel optimistic about my pain free future and dealing with and strengthening my lower back muscles. I hope if you have back pain due to lower belly problems that this helps you decide whether to try it or not. If it doesn't help you, you can always return it. I'm keeping mine!

I work as a grocery store cashier. This belt is very easy to use and helps a great deal with sciatic pain. However, it is difficult to manage when I only have 5 minutes to walk across a large store for a quick pee break that requires me to halfway undress to get to the toilet and dress again after useing it. I have to deal with an apron, a long shirt, removing the belt, etc. It will be more helpful when I can wear it at home after a long shift. Maybe home use will improve pain at work.

Works well. Its what I needed to support my back.

Der Gurt macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck, verrutscht aber bei jeder Bewegung und ist deshalb für mich nutzlos. Allerdings bin ich gerade an der Stelle recht moppelig. Dünne Menschen haben die Probleme vermutlich nicht.

Although I did not purchase this item, this is solely due to my the fact i learnt i needed both back and hip stability. I would like to say it felt extremely comfortable and reassuring to someone with hypermobility and painful hips. It is great quality, discreet and i would like to mention nice and big for someone with large hips like myself
