Excellent introduction
Bought this for my grand daughter's 5th birthday along with Emma's sports car and the camper, as an introduction to Lego friends. She LOVED it and spent happy hours constructing and playing with them. She had no problem building these items on her own with only the occasional mistake... mostly turning over 2 pages of the easily followed pictorial instructions. Do not be concerned about the lower age restraints if your child is dexterous, can follow simple instructions and can play imaginatively. Well worth every penny spent. Creating a secret cache of Lego friends sets, small and large, for when she comes to stay and for special occasions like Christmas If she gets tired of it ...I won't :o))

City Park Cafe
I bought this toy for my daughter a week ago, and she absolutely loves it. We had been waiting for ages for a suitable series for girls and it was lovely when we found lego friends. The little cutlery pieces are so sweet and the till and money are just the same. The pies and cupcakes are great but they may fall out of the cases.Overall this toy is so lovely and anyone would absolutely love this, and is a great present for girls.

Not a ot for the money
Christmas present for my granddaughter, who was delighted with it. However, as an adult, I consider it very bad value for money - there wasn't a lot of Lego in the box, and it was very simple to put together - no thought required, as with normal Lego boxes. Pretty poor, really - but, as I say, my granddaughter loved it

Good but a little tricky
This set was trickier to build than the pet salon set. There are 3 separate bags of parts but you need bits from bag 1 and bits from bag 2 to build the first section. It would have been better to have all the parts for section 1 in bag 1! Anyway, once you know to search in both bags it gets easier. However, we did have a bit of trouble building the roof - it seems a bit heavy and chunky for the walls. It's all built now and providing lots of fun playing with it. My daughter thinks it's great.

Great starter set for girls
This is Lego, and is always a hit with children. This set while it looks at a glance to not have much building involved, there is quite a bit of small details to build including Burgers, cup cakes, display cabinates etc. This is not just pink lego. It has been well thought out, and is great for a girl as once built it is great for character play. Has only been built once so far, but has been played with lots of times.

lego friends
didn t like the figures as they are mostly wearing mini skirts and are only in pastel colours so i feel this product is forcing some stereo typres on girls, dont like the fact that the bricks do not fit in with basic lego because of the colour scheme and the figures are not small enough to fit on normal lego sets, i did like the girls soccer one and karate and lab, but the figures and colours need to be adjusted, some sets like salons etc i dont agree with because there is no space for that in a kids life, these are kids not teenagers and as i said choice is limited, my daughter iman loves dinosaurs and safari adventures, maybe some other more adventerouse sets and colour schemmes need to come in before lego friends would be acceptable to all girls, and harry potter etc a few girl superheros would be nice, ie superwoman etc.

Just what they wanted!
Granddaughters (7 & 5) are thrilled with Lego Friends. Christmas day and afterwards spent on the floor with the pieces and help from Dad. Models are very attractive and plenty to do with them. This also applies to Downtown Bakery and the Dolphin cruiser. Quite expensive but well worth having.

Pestered to buy
Do not ask me to give a review ask the child. They are the experts (and they speak more than five words.)
