Normally great but this shampoo is an old batch - ruined my hair!!!!
Extremely disappointed! I was sent a bottle from an old batch with the old yellow and white packaging. My previous order before this, was the new batch with the new orange and yellow packaging which I was really pleased with. I thought it might be OK to use the older one, but to my dismay it has made my hair totally unmanageable. Now every time I wash my hair, despite using a really amazing (and very expensive) conditioner (that I always use) my hair hair is now looking really flat and extremely static/fly-away every time I touch it! It's a nightmare. The shampoo formula looks and smells completely different and there is obviously something terribly wrong with it because my hair looks a complete disaster now despite having it cut recently. It really affected my confidence but now I have worked out what the problem is, this shampoo is going straight in the bin, although I haven't even used half of it. This has been a complete waste of money! I'm so annoyed because the newer version of this shampoo is really good. I got good results before and was pleased that there are no harsh chemicals or preservatives listed in the ingredients. Will buy it from Revital from now on, as they only stock the new batch!

Bad for low porosity hair
I feel like a lot of complains about the drying texture of this shampoo occur due to its protein treatment. Having both soy and rice protein in it, its rather protein heavy. This is bad for hair like mine, which is low porosity and left it feeling rather dry but also rather frizzy at the end of a wash. It smells amazing and I imagine it would be worth the money for people with normal/ high porosity hair. Unfortunately, I am not one of them!

however I don't care because the results are brilliant. LOVE THIS
Only shampoo (and matching conditioner) to tame my long frizzy. dry locks. The scent is pleasant enough but not overly memorable, however I don't care because the results are brilliant. LOVE THIS!

but probably just like many other vegan products
I use this to wash my face with, why not... it's completely natural, cleans well and doesn't react with my oily skin. Worthy product. However it is suitable for vegetarians so may contain cows milk, however the ingredients don't state anything about cows milk, I'm just assuming, but probably just like many other vegan products, just not labelled as vegan, however is actually vegan.

FORMULA CHANGED! This USED to be great.
I used this product for nearly 2 years and had good results. In fact, I often had unexpected compliments on how shiny and voluminous my locks looked! This product smells great and did not make my thick long and fine hair dry, limp or heavy as many other "chemical free" shampoos have done over the years. Although I loved this product I did decide to change it for a while as it was actually becoming a little pricey using it all the time. So I had a year or so break and used Avalon Organics for a while, which was nice and a bit more cost effective.Anyway, when I did return to using this (and the matching conditioner) I found that the results had changed and it had started to make my hair dry. Although It was still shiny (perhaps due to the matching conditioner) it was limp and and no longer healthy and bouncy as it used to be. I was quite shocked and wondered if it was just my hair or if the ingredients had changed. So I did a little research and had started to read reports and hear rumours that Aubrey organics had begun "tweaking" their ingredients around the time that Aubrey Hampton passed away (a few years ago). This may well be the case, and if so that is very inconsiderate and a real disappointment for their many customers.I have since started using John Masters again, it's more pricey, but they have a good line and I alternate it between that and Avalon organics as it has been said that it is good to change your hair products from time to time as the effects can change and differ due to your hair follicles own natural ability to change and regrow etc...
