Aqua Globes - Fill and Push Into The Soil to Water Plants (Pack of 4)

I've had over half a dozen of those aqua globes over recent years, from various makes and various providers. The first pair came from Poundland and, for the obvious price I paid them, did a wonderful job (and still do)These aqua globes however, are useless. The diameter of the tube is so wide that when you fill the globe with water and hold it upside down, it empties itself in a matter of seconds (which it shouldn't, had it been properly designed following some very basic rules of physics).End result: previously healthy plants will drown, as the globe will empty itself of its content in under 2 hours, or a day at best, provided you made an effort to stuff very compact soil into the opening of the tube.Had it been dispatched by Amazon, I'd have used the super-simple and free return process, where you don't have to call anyone, but I didn't pay attention and this came from another seller. Considering it was about £10, and not willing to waste time with customer services + potentially have to pay for the return, I did not bother.Steer clear of this item - does not do what it says on the tin.

Does the job

The tube diameter seems too big to give a slow release. I find the globe empties pretty much within a few minutes and hence is not great for the longer term gradual release of water. I do use it to measure and deliver water to plants but not in the way I expected.

They work the way they should, but you have to keep in mind these are quite big, the nozzle is as well. Only for big indoor plants

These certainly won't improve the appearance of your plants but they really work - kept my four medium sized house plants alive and happy for two weeks whilst I was away. Minus 1 star for appearance though - I wouldn't leave them in while I was home.

great as it helps when we are not in but felt that doesn't last for 2 weeks - more likely few days
