Had 2 keys cut and they are the right keys but they will not start and run the car. Buttons will program for Honda but the keys will not work as ignition key. The issue probably has to do with proprietary software not available to ACE Hardware that is required by Honda.

I initially gave this a negative review on faulty information. The locksmith who cut the key for me did not know how to program it. I watched a video and the key works just fine. It was a good deal.

I needed a couple of new keys for my Honda Pilot so people could use it when they were staying at our vacation condo. These were inexpensive compared to a Honda dealership, I just had a mobile locksmith stop by the house, cut and program them and BANG! Off and going, both of them worked like a charm.

I bought these because the description stated they are a replacement for a 2011 Honda Pilot. I brought these to a Honda dealership and they could not get them programmed to my Pilot. On top of this they charged me $138 to tell me their attempts failed. Only buy Honda brand replacements. I thought these were but they are not true. This wasted my time and money. If you are going to advertise something MAKE sure it is correct.

A decent spare for the money, no horror story -I finally found a locksmith to work with aftermarket FOB keys, he isn't impressed with them. They don't seem to cut accurately due to thickness variables. They work, yet not on the lift gate action, I hear it trying, yet signal wont open the auto-lift hatch. I changed the batteries. After disassembling and reassembling the original, then the aftermarket I kinda see the quality differences the locksmith mentioned.~ Peace
