ACMEThunderer Model Nickel-Plated Brass Metal Police Security Whistle

I bought this whistle for my five years old daughter when one day she came from a visit crying she NEEDS a whistle exactly the same like her friend has (not her normal behavior). Because to me her friend's whistle seemed rather flimsy I decided to buy something solid. I am glad I did. I step on it sometimes and the metal does not even bend. The flute is no longer wanted or needed when you can play the drum and whistle at the same time.The whistle sounds nice and strong. Sometimes I must send kinds out when I need to make a phone call, so this toy is now for outdoor play only. They scare cats and dogs with it and some innocent bystanders too. It withstands rough play and it is still nice and shiny like German cutlery but there is one thing I would change. It is the black colour of the strap that makes it difficult to find. I would prefer something more visible like bright green or yellow.

It's a bog-standard whistle but feels cheap and doesn't have the ACME imprint on it. Doesn't come in packaging at all in fact, just loose in the envelope. I need it urgently so will hold onto it but I think maybe £3 would have been a fairer price.

Great quality, especially when compared to the rubbish I had bought previously through Amazon. However, I might have known from the price of the poor quality whistle that it was likely that it would be rubbish, and sadly I was right. The Acme Thunderer performs as it should!

I bought this whistle as I needed it for work (Teacher) and this was a great choice. It is a little more over priced but its worth it! It's very loud. If I blew it on a yard full of kids running around, everyone will turn to look. Bought this over a month ago and its still working as good as new. Definitely worth the extra couple of pound!

I bought this for Brownie meetings, for years I have used a hand signal or my voice to get the girls attention, we now have a new hall but the acoustics in the hall are awful and I needed something to get their attention and this whistle is brilliant; I now only have to put it to me lips and they start to quieten down.
